Where I've Been

"Life is so unfair", these are the words often can be heard from Rey Carter's voice and seen in his eyes. His mother died since he was a kid, and now he lives with his stepmom, who is remarried to cruel woman, and now he has two stepbrothers. At first, these new members of the family treat him like their own, like real child and real sibling. That, was just in the beginning,. Whenever his dad goes to work at the city as company broker and only goes home after a month and the other, his stepmom and his stepsiblings were the worst for him, they does things they shouldn't whenever his dad is not around. Lock him in a room, feed him with the worst food, making him do chores while they watch him beg for mercy, but they don't listen. They even made him clean outside the house during a heavy snow, and they laught at him as he freezes in coldness.These were just the things he went through in the presence of his step family. He couldn't tell it to his father for he knows he wont listen to him because of what happened to his mother giving birth to him.His dad can't accept the fact that his mother died only because of him, and that anger was poured out to him by his dad.Since then, Rey's heart became hard as stone and so stubborn. The cruelty he is going through continued until he went to high school, but then, he made up his mind to just finish it and he'll live his own life and go away from his stepfamily. It was already 2 years before he'll finish high school and he is still earning patience in his heart amidst the torture his stepfamily is doing.Time flies so fast that it's already a month before graduation, and he pretends to be happy, hiding all the emotions he kept inside along the years, for finally, he can fulfill what he's been wishin' all along , to get away from his stepfamily and live his own life. Going to a far, far away place would not that be easy he thought, but as soon as he settled to a perfect place, surely he would find peace to calm himself and forget the painful memories he've been through. And now he got a plan, he'll sneak out at night, ride a bus going to the countryside, and finally settle in there, build his shelter, do what he loves to do, and be free .His dad just left to go again to his work after accompanying him in his graduation and his stepfamily had slept. Carefully he walks through the door, made it to a few distance and finally hopped in to bus heading to the countryside, his heart jumping excitedly on what's gonna happen next but one thing he's for sure, he's finally free and now he can do whatever he wants, but for now, hr needs to rest for what's ahead of him.
