Ethan pulled up in front of Alex’s home, parked his car, and stepped out.
He walked to the gate and rang the doorbell, waiting quietly.
Moments later, the door opened, and Alex appeared.
His eyes widened in surprise. ''Ethan? I didn’t know you were coming.''
Ethan smiled softly. 'Well… here I am.''
He glanced past Alex, then asked. ''May I come in?''
Alex nodded. ''Sure.''
He pressed a button on the wall, and the gate slowly slid open.
Ethan turned back, got into his car, and drove inside.
Once the gate closed behind him, Alex walked over to meet him just as Ethan stepped out of the car again.
Ethan opened the back door and pulled out a large brown bag.
He lifted it with a grin. ''I brought you something.''
Alex raised a brow, curious.
