CHAPTER 14Bannister got to the office early. He and Ramirez planned to be at Guaranty Bank in Norcross to interview Audrey Mims after the bank opened. The bank’s director of security had arranged with the manager to ensure Audrey was available with no mention of the FBI. While they interviewed his wife, Special Agent Ted Mims would be given a polygraph exam at the office. Witt had told Mims it was part of the Bureau’s program to conduct counterintelligence polygraphs of agents who worked national security cases.
