Welcome to Redhill Town
Alpha Wolverson paced about nervously in front of the room. He ran his palm from his wet short brown hair down to his chiseled face. The rain was pouring down heavily but still the loud cries of his Luna could be heard clearly coming from the room. The loud cries left him to wonder if that was how child labor was or if there was something currently wrong at the moment.
He couldn't believe he was having his first child. He had earlier been settling a dispute among his pack members when he was alerted that his Luna was going into labor. He had never ran as fast as he did, not minding the heavy down pour of the rain.
He made sure he didn't step far from the door, so he wouldn't miss out on anything and so he could hear what was going on clearly. A worried but hopeful look was registered on his face. With this birth, he would have a successor who would take over as Alpha from him.

Freya screamed out her lungs as she tried pushing some more. She was drenched in sweat even though the rain was accompanied with a chilly wind. She grabbed the midwife's hand and squeezed tightly, gritting her teeth. “Where is he?" She questioned, breathing heavily, her soaked hair matted to her face.
“I'm sorry Freya...." The midwife, Helen shook her head with a sympathetic look. “He didn't show up"
“What?" Freya's countenance fell. She couldn't believe she was having his child and he didn't show up.
“Don't worry about him right now. Worry about your child and bringing him to this world safely" Helen spoke up. “Come on now, try pushing again"

Alpha Wolverson stopped pacing when he didn't hear any more sound from the room. His heart skipped a beat, fearing the unthinkable. Just as he was about to burst through the door to find out what was happening, he heard it. The tiny little cry of a new born baby.
He stopped on his tracks in front of the door, uttered a sigh of relief amidst a joyful smile that escaped his lips. He scoffed with happiness. Seconds later the door opened and the packs midwife ushered him in. “It's a boy" the midwife said to him with a smile.
His joy heightened on hearing it was a boy. He looked down at his Luna who was holding the baby close to her heart with a weakened smile on her face. “We have a little wolf" The Luna, Katherine stated with a weak voice and broad smile.
“Oh wow" The Alpha laughed, crouching next to them on the bed and examining his son. “The future Alpha" he added and then Kissed the child and his mother on their foreheads. He turned to face the midwife “Send word out that we have son. A new wolf is added to our pack" he instructed.

Freya fell back to the bed when she heard the cry of her new born baby. She was relieved. A warm smile formed on her lips. “You did it" Helen said with widen eyes, raising the baby up. “It's a boy...you have a son Freya" She announced.
“Oh wow...let me hold him" Freya said, stretching her arms out. She took the baby from Helen and stared at the wonderful being that just came out of her. She felt this warmth inside of her as she stared into the baby's eyes. “He's beautiful" she smiled, tears rolling down her eyes.
“Yeah he is"
Freya felt her body weakening and her visions blurring. She could hardly breathe. She looked up at Helen with a weak smile as she felt life slipping out of her. “No, no no" Helen realizing what was going on, quickly took the baby from her and dropped him in the bassinet. She turned to help Freya out but froze in shock, realizing it was too late.
Freya's eyes were shut, her lips slightly agape and she wasn't breathing anymore. “Oh no!" She cried out, covering her mouth. She glanced at the now crying baby and then back at his lifeless mother. She didn't know what to do. Helen picked up the baby, petting him to stop crying whilst staring at his mother and tears rolling down her own face.

Cheerful sounds and laughter filled the Alpha's living room. Every member of his pack was present at his house, joining in the celebration of his child. Drinks, food and music was all present. Everyone was merry on what the Alpha tagged ‘The Best day of his life'.
“No wolf business today Daniel. Today is strictly for the celebration of my son" He said to Daniel who was about reporting the activities of their rival pack. “We'll talk about that tomorrow" he added. Daniel nodded and grabbed himself another beer.
“There's someone at the door asking for you Alpha" One of the girls annouced, approaching the Alpha.
“Who?"
“I don't know. She said she was only speaking to you. She's carrying a baby" She explained.
Alpha Wolverson glanced around with furrowed brows. Not having an idea of who that could be. “Go back to the party. I'll go see who that is" He instructed, standing up.
He arrived at the door, opened it and saw her standing there with the baby. “Helen!" He called out in surprise.
“She's dead" Helen blurted out. “Freya is dead. She died seconds after having your baby. She waited for you. Hoped you'd be there but you didn't show up and she went through all that alone" She quarrelled, sounding more sad than angry. Helen looked into the house at the party that was going on. “I guess I know why. Congratulations on having two sons on the same day. You must be feeling blessed"
The Alpha's eyes widened with disbelief, staring at the baby she was holding. He couldn't believe the child she was holding was his. Two sons on the same day, that definitely was unexpected and surreal. And then it dawned on him what this meant. “You weren't there for his mother since she became pregnant with him...the least you could do is be there for him, raise him and let him grow up with his father" She concluded, putting the boy into his hand.
She glanced at him some more, shook her head before walking away, leaving him standing there with his new born son. Alpha Wolverson stood as though he was in a trance. Not knowing what to do or how to explain this to his people. His Luna having a son for him on the same day his human lover did also.
He brought his gaze to the baby who was sleeping peacefully in his arms. He had an innocent look, oblivious of the troubles that was coming. Alpha Wolverson sighed and got back into the house, shutting the door behind him. He turned to his people and as soon as they saw him with a baby, everyone stopped whatever they were doing and just stared at him with a puzzled look, waiting for an explanation.
(23 years later)
Emma woke up with a happy and statisfied feeling and she didn't know why. She was stretching on her bed and then it dawned on her. She was back home, back in Redhill Town, back to her pack. After going away to college years ago, she was finally back home having just graduated a few days ago.
She stood up, put on her pink fluffy slippers, adjusted her night wear and opened the window. The familiar smell of the town hit her nostrils and she happily welcomed it. She began looking forward to her walk around town later in the day. When she got back in town the previous day, it looked the same but different still and she was eager to see just how much had changed.
Emma rushed down the stairs, heading to the kitchen where the sweet smell of pancakes was coming from. “Good morning mom!" She greeted, taking a seat by the kitchen counter. “That smells so good" She grinned
“Well you can eat as much as you want. I made it all for you" Beatrice replied
“Oh wow! I'm gonna be so filled up that I won't be able to go anywhere" Emma replied, tying her dark silky hair into a bun. Her long dark silky hair that stopped a little below her shoulders was one of the key features people loved about her. Her hair combined with her diamond shaped face and blue eyes made up a pretty face that made her stand out. Her hour glass shape was just another bonus.
“I'm so happy you're back home. It's been quiet and lonely around here since you left"
“I'm happy I'm back too"
“Things are pretty much the same since you were last here. The town, the pack and all. Now that you're here, things are gonna get much better" Beatrice handed her a plate filled with pancakes.
“I hope so" Emma flashed her a smile “Thanks" she added, staring at her sumptuous breakfast

Noah ran the comb through his damped hair as he stood in front of the mirror in his room. His short hair laid flat on his head on making contact with the comb. Dropping the comb when done, he noticed his mother through the mirror standing by the door. “Morning mother" He greeted
She walked up to him without saying anything, all the while maintaining a warm smile. She got to where he was, turned him to face her and then picked up the comb. “I heard your brother just graduated..." She started, running the comb through his hair.
“Yeah I heard" he replied with a nonchalant attitude
“Which means he'll be coming back home soon"
“Yeah...there's no harm with him coming home, is there?" He inquired
“Of course there isn't. He poses no threat. But still, I need you to be careful around him. He can be manipulative and we don't need you to lose sight of the bigger picture here. Which is you becoming the Alpha" She explained
“I know mom. Don't worry, Liam is no threat to me. I know how to handle him"
“Good" Katherine smiled, patted his combed hair before walking away.

“Thanks" Said Emma, grabbing her coffee from the waitress. She looked around at all the unfamiliar faces in the diner. ‘Somethings definitely had changed' she thought. That diner used to be her and her friends favorite spot back in high school and now it was filled with people she didn't know.
“Emma?" A familiar voice called, breaking her out of her reverie. “It is you"
She looked over at the direction of the door where the voice was coming from and she couldn't believe her eyes when she saw who it was. Her eyes widened and they both burst out laughing. “Noah!" She called back.
“Oh my God!" Noah laughed, approaching her. They both locked each other in a hug, laughing. “When did you get back to town?" He asked, breaking the hug.
“Yesterday"
“Welcome back...you look great and different" he complimented.
“So do you" she quipped
“Are you heading somewhere or you have time to catch up?" Noah inquired
“No, nowhere in particular. Catching up is what i have planned for today"
“Great! Let's have a seat then" He ushered her to an empty booth. “We have a lot to talk about"
***New York***
“Oh my God you won't..." Mason blurted out bursting through the door. “Oh my God!!!" He yelled out on seeing his roommate naked next to a strange girl on his bed. “What the hell Liam?" He questioned, dropping his backpack on the chair
Liam sat up, rubbing the sleep away from his eyes. He looked down at the girl lying next to him and sighed. He woke her up, helped her get her stuff and escorted her out of the room. “What's up bro?" He asked, coming back into the room.
“‘What's up'? Are you kidding me? You used my bed for your adventures" Mason quarrelled
“Yeah...you know mine be all squeaky" He quipped
“You really need to go home man"
“So do you, but we are both still here" Liam replied, taking a lock of his hair off his eye. “When are you going back anyway? I thought your dad was blowing you up"
“Yeah. Probably this weekend or something" Mason shrugged
“Nice" Liam replied bobbing his head. “Can I stay with you for a while though?"
“What do you mean? I thought you are going home too"
“Yeah that's not happening right now. This is the last peace and freedom I'll be getting and I need to use it wisely" Liam joked
“Are you like a runaway kid or something? Or a prodigal son?" Mason inquired
“Let's just say...I and my folks don't get along all so well" He threw on a t-shirt.
“Alright. So how long will you be staying at my house and eating my food?"
“Maybe six months" he shrugged
“Wait what?"
“Yeah....don't worry, your folks are gonna love me. Your dad's rich and I don't eat that much. So before we leave this college finally, let's go have some fun" He winked, patting Mason on his back and picking up his jacket.
