“Here we go" Emma annouced, dropping the fries and burgers on the table. “Lunch as requested" She sat down across from him in the booth. “The waitress is coming with the milkshakes"
“Wow....maybe I should start doing some more suspicious activities, so I would keep getting free lunch from you" Liam joked
“Yeah right. This was a one time deal. Only because I was wrong and accused you wrongly" She replied
“Yeah you were and you did" He threw some fries into his mouth.
Emma stared at him, wondering if she should poke or not. And knowing herself, she knew she wouldn't be able to hold it for much longer. So she kept on staring at him, trying to make the decision.
“Are you okay?" He asked, noticing her weird stare.
“Yeah" She nodded and before she could stop herself, she blurted out “Why did you pack out of the house?" She cursed herself for poking and then decided it was already done. “I have been meaning to ask. So why?”
“Well..." Liam started, sitting back. “I guess I have overstayed my welcome" he shrugged
“What do you mean overstayed?! It's your father's house. Aren't you always welcome?"
”Here are your milkshakes" The waitress interrupted, dropping the drinks on the table. “Is there anything else?" She asked with a smile fixed on her lips.
“No thank you Love" Liam replied and the waitress took it as her queue to leave.
“Well?" Emma pressed on
“I have nothing to say. Maybe I am welcomed or maybe I'm not but I'm out of there already. “I thought you would have known all these from your boyfriend"
“Well we don't talk about you" She stated, keeping her best poker face.
“Yeah right. With the interrogation I've been going through with you, I bet I'm who you discuss most of the time. Maybe even think about too" Liam said with a smirk.
“Yeah right...in your dreams" She forced out a nervous laughter and began drinking from her milkshake. Liam smiled picking up his drink, knowing he was right.

“Why are you here?" Helen questioned, leading Alpha Wolverson to the sitting room. She gestured for him to take a seat whilst taking hers.
“I'm here because of him" He pointed at the baby picture hanging on the wall.
“And what is it about him?"
“I need you to help me convince him to leave town." He explained. “It will be better for everyone if he does" he added
“Is this you talking or your Luna?" Helen questioned. ,“You would push your son away...again, and for what? To make sure your Luna is happy?! He's your son Alpha. Not just Noah but him too. I get that he isn't a wolf like you were expecting but he's still your blood" Helen quarrelled.
“I'm not denying the fact that he's my son. He needs to leave town and I have my reasons"
“Well if you want him to leave, then you're gonna have to do that yourself. I can't help you" She stated.

Noah walked into the factory, eye searching for Rogers. Nodding at some of the workers and werewolves, he proceeded to the secluded office by the side of the warehouse. He gave the door a few knocks before pushing it open. “Noah!" Rogers called, surprised to see him standing by the door. “Well come on in" he gestured, pointing at the free seat in the office. “And how's your brother Liam, I heard he's back in town and he hasn't come to see us yet" Rogers smiled
“Well when I see him, I'll let him know"
“Good, good. So why are you here? I must admit I'm a bit surprised you're the one here, usually it's the Alpha that comes himself"
“And I'm the future Alpha. So it doesn't really change anything. I came for two reasons. One, I got attacked during the full moon by a wolf. We are not sure if it's a rogue wolf or if....it's Alpha Marcus' men. We think he knows what really happened to his brother and we need you to find out" Noah explained
“That isn't good. If he knows, he might want to start a war. He's reckless that way"
“That's why I need you to find out. So we can fully prepare"
“Alright. And what's the second reason you're here?" Rogers asked
“I need you to give me account of everything for the past one week. Relating to the job and to the pack" Noah stated.

Exiting her car, Emma kept replaying the events of the day. ‘He doesn't seem that bad' she thought to herself. She thought maybe they were misjudging him or maybe she hadn't had the chance to know the real him. But she felt like she needed to help him get back to his family, get close with them. “Where the hell have you been?" Karen questioned, opening the front door and coming face to face with Emma.
Snapping out of her thoughts, she smiled at her friend. “Why are you smiling? I was about to leave"
“I was with Liam" Emma replied, walking past her friend into the house.
Karen's eyes widened with surprise as she swiftly shut the door and ran up to her friend. “What do you mean you were with Liam?" She asked “Tell me everything that happened" She added holding arms with Emma as they made their way up the stairs.
“I confronted him about something and it turns out I was wrong. I thought he was gonna get angry or mad at my confrontation or how I approached it but we ended up spending the whole day together" Emma explained, still smiling.
“Oh my God, look at how smily you are, talking about your boyfriend's brother" Karen pointed out.
“It's not a crime to spend time with him. Especially since I'm getting closer to the family. I will admit I did enjoy the day but I wouldn't even call us friends yet. So don't worry about none of that" Emma explained
“Alright. All I'm saying is that, you should just be careful. Guys like that, usually switch things up on you"
“The claiming ceremony is coming soon. After then I won't hear these complains or proposals from you or anybody" Emma concluded.

Liam turned on the shower, trying to get it warm before stepping in. He walked to were the mirror was and wiped off the steam covered mirror with his hand. Staring at himself, the thought of his father flashed through his mind. He wondered what was so wrong with him that made his father hate him.
He sighed, running his hand through his hair. He walked back to the shower, pulled back the curtains, dropped his towel that was wrapped around his waist and climbed in. The shower was now moderately warm and it soothed his desire at the moment.
He raised up his head, letting the warm water hit his face, and as soon as it did, the memory of the day came hitting him too. Although it wasn't just a day of hanging out with his brother's girlfriend, but he hadn't had that much fun and peace since he came back to town.
He shook his head, waving off the thought as he began washing his hair but the thought kept on invading his mind and it was beginning to feel like torture. “Are you kidding me?!" He said to himself and turned off the shower even though he wasn't done. “Just a day with her and now I can't get her out of my head. Ridiculous" he muttered, picking up his towel and wrapping it around his waist.

“Liam!.....Liam!!" Emma kept on calling, navigating her way through the thick dark woods. She felt her heart pounding in her chest. “Liam!" She zipped up her jacket. She just shifted and now she was looking for him, knowing if anything happened it was her fault.
She heard voices coming from a distance in front of her. She quickened her footsteps when the voices seemed to be getting intense. Her hasty footsteps soon turned to running. She ran as fast as she could and immediately she caught them in her view, her heart skipped a beat.
“No stop please!" She cried out but before she could get to them, he pushed Liam off the cliff.
“Noo!!" She yelled out, waking up abruptly in her room. She was panting and fear still visible in her eyes. She looked around and seeing the familiar settings of her room, she began slowing down her heart rate.
She got up from the bed and moved to her bathroom. She turned on the water on the sink and splashed some on her face. Getting herself back, she began to wonder what kind of nightmare was that.
