Deal with the Consequences

"daddy stop chasing us!" a cute yet loud scream coming from their front yard followed with a scream of a man with a playful tone. She can tell that this scene in front of her defines a perfect family, a family that she always dreamed of and a family that she knows she will never have. She might be part of it in the eyes of other people who knows them and in paper but she does not consider herself as one of them and she thinks his father thinks so too. She was just watching them silently with a jealous eyes and a little smile on her face. She continued practicing swimming back and forth, she's good and fast since she is an athlete in her school. She's the only girl member of the swimming team or the only representative in Grade 12 since her group mates are all a year younger than her or more and all of them are boys , she wanted to recruit more people specifically girls but no one's interested since it's her last year in highschool before college she wanted to have girl members but they declined saying they wanted to just focus on their studies or they already have their own clubs,etc. While she was swimming she can't help but to feel envious of how her tito Amando treats his children, let's say that she did not experienced playing and bonding with her papa and mama. It's a typical story of a young girl who's parents are separated, she, the child who were born because of immaturity and repulsive decisions being neglected as thy parents have their own family and the likes. Tito Amando and Tita Gwen always tells her that her Daddy and mama loves her that they are just not showy about it and they don't know how to approach me. They told me to be patient and understanding. She stop swimming for a while then closed her eyes, she was in deep thoughts when she unconsciously submerged her body in the water. Sometimes she wanted to confront her parents and ask why did they had me when they can't even give me a good life, no, she have everything that a teenager could ask for but she is not contented, she wanted to be acknowledge and loved by people who she cherished most. She wanted a family that can understand, care for her and she can can call anytime. She stayed in her position for a minute or so. She is already sitting at the bottom of the 7 feet pool. If someone might see her in her position it might looks like she is meditating under the water. When she felt like she needs air she decided to go out from the water. She saw the faces of her cousins and her tito and tita looking at her intently and worriedly. " That was so cool ate, sitting at the bottom and just staying there!" Dawn said excitedly. "Just don't overdo it, okay Alexie? I thought you were drowning and was about to jump in the water" with a concern yet scolding voice said by her tita Gwen. "I'm sorry tita for making you worried" she responded in a small voice while catching her breath. "don't do that again" in response she just nodded. and her tito Amando spoke "Just don't sleep in the pool honey, we have a proper place to do that. A more comfortable place with big bed to sleep." The boys was about to go back playing but tita Gwen shouted, "stop playing already, it's snack time" She sat on the edge of the pool and sigh. "Wow, this is literally drowning yourself with your thoughts. I did not even realized how long I have been under the water" Alex was murmuring it to herself, she is talking to herself again like she used to do when she's frustrated, embarrassed, happy,etc. she always does that unintentionally. Her friend s***h cousin always tell her that she looks like an i***t when she's doing that but she, herself didn't realize that she was doing it, voicing her thoughts and she cant help it. Chloe Jean and Clint Anton are his father's children from another girl that happened to be his wife already and they are 2 years younger than her and a triplets younger brothers Eze, Indigo and Daze her mama's children with her diseased husband, Alex Arevalo is still single since she needs to work for her children she doesn't have time for that, the father of her mama's sons, her step father, Brandon passed away 4 years ago with lung cancer and the cause of his disease is second hand smoke, Brandon's father smokes around their house for almost 18 years and it got him to where he is now at the age of 38. The triplets are already 13 years old this coming friday and she haven't bought gifts for her brothers, their birthday will be held in their grandparents house that's why they are already there for the preparations and everything. She was staying at his father's sibling for a week now since her mama and her siblings visited their granny and their grandpa from their father's side. She is living with her mom and her younger brothers when his papa Brandon died, she stayed with her and helped her with his siblings and some other stuffs that she can do to lessen the burden from her mother. Ever since she was in junior high school, Alex really wanted to be an engineer, a highest paid engineer to be exact so she chose STEM an academic track in Senior high school. She wanted to do it for herself; she want it not because her "family" told her to do so.
