XAVIER GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE THIS INSTANT!" I heard my mother yell as I slowly rolled out of bed. This is the day I had been dreading for the past 16 years. Today - I started highschool.  As I rolled out of bed and made my way to the bathroom, I looked at myself in the mirror. I had chocolate brown hair and hazelnut color eyes. My skin was neither pale nor dark so I was in between. As I studied my features in the mirror it suddenly dawned on me that not only did I start highschool today - it also happened to be my 17th birthday.  As I jumped in the shower, I suddenly came to the realization, Today was the day I was meant to find my mate. As I battles with my mind I tried to wash all my stress away. You see, I'm from the blue goddess pack and everyone who turns 17 is to find their mate as well as connect with their wolf/shift. I washed my thoughts away and jumped out of the shower. The smell of my body wash hit me like a ton of bricks. It was a vanilla honey and coconut smell that filled the air. The smell brought a smile to my face as I Enhaled deeply while walking out of the room. I made my way to the closet to pick my outfit out for the day. I decided to go with a navy blue jumpsuit, black leather chucks to pair and a woolly jumper. Just as I was ready to go downstairs I heard my mother yell once again, "Xavier Lucy Taylor if you don't get down here now I'll drag you down those stairs myself girl!"I sighed as I shoved my books, phone and charger in to my bag and headed towards the kitchen. As I reached the bottom step the aroma of pancakes and bacon hit my nose and my stomach immediately growled as if it were angry for taking my time. I laughed at my stomach while holding it,  I walked into the kitchen to find my father at the table with his newspaper and my mother at the stove. "Morning Mum, Dad" I said as I sat down. Dad just grunted while looking at his paper. This I was used too. It's been this way since I was a child. Why? Who knows. My father is a pack warrior in training and my mother works in the pack hospital helping those who had been injured during battles. Both came from middle class families so they both had a reasonable reputation between the two of them that they held with pride to maintain.   "About time girl"My mother said coldly before setting down a plate of food in front of me. Despite the way she usually treats me every year in my birthday is the one day a year she hardly gives me any s**t and for that I am grateful. From a young age everyone has treated me like I don't belong and feeling unwanted around here not only by my parents but my pack also. I started on my plate just before being interrupted by a loud bang on the door. As my father got up, he and my mother exchanged a glance between each other. I continued to eat my food before hearing my father, "Oh! Alpha Mark! What are you doing here, please come in"My father came back in followed by our Alpha. My mother and I quickly stood up to bow as he nodded at my mother, completely ignoring me.Typical I thought to myself."Good morning Alpha Mark. I've just done breakfast, would you like some? It's pancakes and bacon".Alpha Mark shook his head no before saying "No thanks Lorraine, this is a short visit so I'll make this quick" "Today marks a day in history that has never happened before. Today a soon to be alpha from a neighboring pack along with two of his most trusted will be attending our highschool" My mind went blank, this was something that had NEVER been done before! As I was lost in my own thoughts I only just heard their conversation A neighbouring pack?! Its never been done before!" My parents gasped in shock.  Alpha Mark replied with a strong HMPH in agreement. "Exactly! Which is why I'm here. I'm HERE to tell HER not to f**k THIS UP. YOURE ALREADY A f**k UP TO YOUR PARENTS AND TO THIS PACK. So today you will not engage with them if you cross paths. You don't look at him, talk to him or touch him unless SPOKEN TOO!" I was completely gobsmacked! Not at he fact that Alpha Mark had just demanded those orders - that was normal for me. It was the fact that a soon to be alpha would be attending OUR HIGHSCHOOL! You know for an Alpha, he really is stupid. I mean please , engage with a newcomer let alone him being a soon to be Alpha? I don't engage with my own pack stupid mf I thought to myself. My thoughts were soon interrupted by Alpha Mark's booming voice yelling:"DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME GIRL?!" As his alpha tone filled the kitchen. I hung my head in acknowledgement and nodded. "GOOD. Because if you do, your punishment will be worse then all these years put together"He stood up while us three quickly mirrored his actions to bow before my father showed him to the door. I was so lost in my own thoughts I hadn't noticed my mother staring at me with the most devilish hate in her eyes.  She smiled at me, But this smile wasn't a nice smile. It was a smile you would see in a horror movie before they go batshit crazy and start stabbing you before she said to me, "Hey Xavier. If you f**k this up, consider yourself a rouge"
