Prologue
"Mom!" she yells as she opens her mothers bedroom. She did not her mother and she then run towards the mini kitchen.
"Mommy! guess what!" she asked. Elizabeth stops chopping the carrot and turn around to look at her daughter.
"What?" she asked as she put down the knife near the chopping board.
"I finally got a scholarship for the Cambridge School of Weston! You don't have to over work yourself for Mrs. Vanderbilt!" she excitedly told her mother. She is excited that finally her mother will retire as a female butler for the Vanderbilt's mansion. She hopes that this would be the start of their life getting better as they will finally stand on their own feet without any help from the Vanderbilt's.
"Oh! that's great Nat!" she said. She turn around and grab the knife and continue chopping the carrot.
"You don't look surprise?" she questioned her mother as she grab the apple from the counter."
"Because I already know that you're gonna get it, you're smart!" Elizabeth said as she finish chopping the end of the carrot. She set it aside and wash her hand.
"Mom, don't tell me she has something to do with it?" Natalia squinted as she stared at her mother's back. She walks towards her and said "she better not interfere"
"Natalia! She's got nothing to do with your scholarship and don't be like to her, I've been working for her since when you were in my tummy, think of her as one of our family!" Elizabeth said sternly as she dry her hands. Natalie washes the apple that she took from the table and stars biting on to it.
"I know, but I really want to do this on my own, I want to be successful just like Ms. Vanderbilt...just like her."
