I got up this morning changing into my uniform. Brushing my hair and then pulling it into a bun.
Grabbing my books and heading downstairs to the kitchen. Where sat my family of Five? Making me six. They were all blonde-haired. I was the only one with jet-black hair. That changed in the sun.
I just smiled and sat down in between them. We ate and then it was time for school.
I got up to go. When my mom called my name. I stopped and turned to her. I said, "Yes ma'am?"
She reminded me tomorrow was my birthday. The same day as my brother's best friend's birthday. The son-to-be alpha.
I'm not going to lie. He was gorgeous. He was built like a greek god. He could make anyone drool. He was turning eighteen just like me.
I hoped he was my mate but I knew I wasn't his. He had already claimed a girl. He was going to marry her. They grew up together.
If he did turn out to be mine. He would reject me. But who knows I will find out tomorrow.
The girl he's in love with is vile. She thinks every guy will drop at her feet. My brother thinks the same as me. They tell their friend she's no good for him.
Now he hasn't done anything with her yet, because he wants to see if she's his mate. Now I don't know what he'll do if she's not. Everyone knows the Alpha has to be with his true mate unless someone challenges her and she loses. Then that girl takes her place as Luna.
I crawl into the backseat of my brother's car. We leave for school. It doesn't take us long to get to school.
We all get out and start walking to the double doors. When I hear her calling me names. My brothers look down at me. Wondering why I let her call me names. I never think anything about it. She is a pathetic wolf. My wolf can hear her wolf tell her to stop being like that because if she doesn't then one day she'll get beaten down by a true hero.
I always smile at that. She will get taught a lesson one day.
The school was okay. It came and went. Here I am sitting on the ledge of my window. Watching my brother fight with the Alpha son and another male.
I watched their moves. I enjoyed how they spare with each other. I could mirror their moves all too well. It was too easy.
My father never let me train with the pack. I had to sit there and watch. I took in all their moves quickly.
I don't know why but I have a bad feeling about that girl. I studied her moves closely. She and her friends would call me names. Just because I didn't train.
Everyone thought I couldn't. Even my own brother's. That hurt a little bit I guess I could see it too.
One day. They will all see that I'm not weak. Until that day.
The day slowly turned dark. Bringing out the stars. Telling everyone it's time for bed. I went up to my room after dinner.
I got washed up and changed into my night clothes. Crawling into bed. Letting the darkness consume another night.
