Chapter Three: Birthday Pain

The next morning came and today I find out who my mate is. I'm nervous. I'm scared to see who it is. What if they don't like me? What if he rejects me? Those questions keep filling my mind.

I slowly get up. Getting dressed in my uniform. Brushing my hair and pulling it up in a bun.

I wanted this day over with. I wanted to hide in the covers. Never seeing who never wants me. I have a bad feeling about today.

I walked down to the living room and there stood my brothers. They looked at me and then over to my mom.

My mom had a frown on her face. She was holding a brown envelope. I looked back over to my brother and then back to my mom. When a tear slipped down her cheeks. I walked over to her and said, " What's wrong mom?

She said, " This was just given to us by the alpha. You're not our real daughter. You're an Alpha's daughter. Now your real parents are dead and my daughter is too. They all three died in a rogue attack. At their pack. Leaving you their rightful air.

My mouth dropped open. Tears filled my eyes. I hugged my mom and wept over the death of her real daughter. I sobbed into her shoulder saying how sorry she lost her real daughter. It was all my fault. I shouldn't be here. She deserved to live and not me.

I stumbled back with guilt in my heart. I turned around and dashed outside. Running into the Alpha's son. His touch sent waves of tingles across my body. I looked into his eyes and I also saw sadness.

I pushed him away and ran into the woods. I ran and ran. Until I couldn't run anymore. There I sat under an oak tree. Tears fall down my cheeks. I looked toward the sky and yelled why are you doing this to me?

When I heard growling coming from behind the bushes. I quickly stood up and climbed up the tree. I slowly perched on the limb watching who came out from behind the bushes.

Three rogues walked out sniffing the air. Trying to find me.

I smirked knowing I needed a workout. I jumped down behind them. I stood in human form and let my wolf come forwards.

I knew Mystic needed to kill something because of the pain she felt. From her real parents' death...to her mom's real daughter's death and her now mate that's going to reject her soon.

They all three started to attack her. Mystic and Aria both fought the three rogues. They glided against them. Making them three kill themselves. When the last two rogues bit down on their necks killing themselves. Aria ran away from the area and climbed up a tree. Watch as everything unfolded.

She was still upset. She sat there all day and night. She didn't want to see anyone. The guilt she feels is because of her.

When night came. Aria went home. She knew someone was up. When she opened that door she knew she would be grounded. But no one was there. Then she remembered that their Alpha son had a birthday party tonight.

She just went upstairs. She went to shower and then slipped into her night clothes to go to sleep. Another night the darkness consume her.
