Chapter Five
My heart slammed against my ribcage because everything that was happening right now looked like a dream and it was more like I was in a trance. There was no way this was real!
The way everyone leered at me caused me to gulp in my spittle and most importantly, my heart almost jumped out of my chest when my three nightmares stepped forward in a bid to touch me. The tray I was holding onto fell from my hands and an ear-piercing scream escaped my lips.
“Don't come closer” I yelled, not minding how the Luna would punish me for this defiant act of mine. The party was already ruined by me and with the way I yelled meant double trouble for me but honestly, I didn't care.
What mattered to me was how the Moon goddess could have written such a horrible fate for me by mating me with not one but three and to worsen it all, they were my bullies who had caused me pain since the first day that I had stepped into this house.
Glancing back and forth between the three of them in nothing but horror, I turned as tears pressed at the back of my eyelids, running as fast as my legs could carry before I got to my room.
Memories of how the three of them had bullied me in the past flooded my head, memories of how they watched their girlfriends humiliate me, and many more that were even too hurtful to recollect.
“What is the moon goddess trying to do? How could she assign such a horrible fate to me despite knowing everything that I have gone through in the past and despite knowing how much I longed to leave this place,”
“But she must be so heartless that she decided to tie me down here by mating me to those three condescending beings,” I thought inwardly amidst the tears that cascaded down my cheeks.
Zachary, Andre, and Chase's faces flashed through my head as a groan escaped my lips. I squeezed my eyes shut, clenching my fist in anger because no matter how much things had taken a turn, a lot of things didn't sit right with me.
I flicked my eyes open, with my fist clenched by both sides in a bid to control the wave of anger rushing through me at the moment. If the moon goddess decided to be crazy, then I would show her who was crazier because the last thing I would ever do was accept the people who had caused me nothing but pain.
I strode to my bed, lying on my back while staring at the ceiling fan that creaked slowly. Different thoughts about how to handle the situation coursed through my mind but still, they didn't seem like the right choices to make.
So, I decided that as soon as it was morning, I would reject all three of them one by one.

The loud bang on the door caused me to jump to my feet in fright.
“Who was that and who could that be,” I thought to myself, trying to imagine who could be so audacious to bang on the door like that despite knowing how Luna hated noise.
Could it be that one of the guests hasn't left yet or what could be happening right now?
The ear-piercing scream for my name jolted me out of my thoughts as my heart was palpated with fear.
“You evil child and son of a b***h, I gave you shelter, gave you food and I gave you my love but the only way you had to repay me was by ruining the party!”
“Even if those girls were the ones at fault, I mean you had no right to talk back to them. To worsen it all, you made my son Andre defend you by smashing the cakes that I had baked just for him! Just come out here you s**t because I wouldn't leave until this whip tears your flesh” I heard Andre’s mum yell from the outside.
My hands flew to my mouth as tears glistened in my eyes. Why did I have such a horrible fate? What was my fault again? Hailey and her minions were the ones who bullied me and despite it all, I didn't even retaliate because how dare I even think about doing that in the first place.
Plus how was it my fault that Andre destroyed the cake that was made specifically for him? How was it my fault?
I stared down at my palm which still had a fresh wound caused by the shards of glass that pierced through it. I was the one at the receiving end yesterday, I was the victim, yet I was still treated like the one at fault.
“You lowlife, are you deaf? Somebody grab me a hammer and let me break down this door” I heard her scream from the outside of the room.
I knew that if she could break the door, then it was over for me! Not only would she whip me but she would make sure that she takes my life and feed my remains to the wild beasts.
I mustered the courage left inside of me as I dragged my feet to the door. I would rather open the door myself and serve my punishment than give her the upper hand that would allow her to harm me in the most brutal and extreme way.
Tears coursed down my face as I reached my hands for the locks. My hands trembled, unbolting the door and in split seconds, the door swung open with the Luna barging in while clutching a long whip like her life depended on it.
A crooked grin that caused her upper lips to curl slipped on her face. “You bastard and worthless omega! I thought that you had suddenly grown wings! You stressed my son and ruined my party” She raised her whip as her eyes blazed with fire.
My hands curled tightly around me in fear, squeezing my eyes shut while waiting for the effect of the whip to land on my tender skin.
But for seconds, I felt nothing but I was met with a deafening silence that was followed by a unique scent that hit me right in the nose.
It was one of the scents amongst the other scents yesterday. The scents that marked the beginning of my misery.
My eyes flicked open, almost bulging out of their sockets in shock as my mouth slackened because of the sight before me.
Andre caught the whip in the air as he stared right into his mother’s eyes with a glint of fury blazing inside his orbs.
