Chapter Five

“You had dared not hit her” Andre’s voice boomed through the air, causing cold shivers to run down my spine as my eyes widened in utter disbelief.

I could see the shock on his mom’s face as well and the fact that his actions meant more trouble for me scared me to my bones. Apart from me later being punished by the Luna, I still couldn't believe the sight before me. It was more like I was dreaming.

Maybe I wasn't, maybe I didn't just want to accept the fact that Andre was standing up for me as he did yesterday! It just felt surreal. Was he on c***k or should I blame it on the mating bond?

“What are you doing? She ruined the party that I had prepared specifically for your return, she made sure that she destroyed everything” She said alarmed as her eyes reddened while glancing back and forth between me and Andre.

“Ruined?” Andre reiterated.

“Mom, are you trying to say that you didn't see the girls who had bullied her? They were the ones who picked on her and they were the ones who first created a scene. It is safe to say that I further ruined the party by smashing the cakes so why is she being punished when she is the victim” Andre said calmly even though his voice sounded eerie.

His mom’s chest rose and fell steadily as she stared right into her son’s eyes with blazing fury. “You shouldn't be defending a low life like her, what the hell happened to you all these years? Why are you standing up for a low-life omega?” She yelled at him.

Andre suddenly released his grip around the whip and I was kind of taken aback when he exchanged fleeting glances with me. My heart pounded in my chest as different thoughts ran through my mind.

Was he going to admit before the Luna that I was his mate? What would she do if she finds out that I was his mate? There was no need to even ask that question because I knew that she was going to kill me if she ever found out that I was mated to her son.

“It seems like the right thing to do! I don't think that there should be a reason before I stand up for what is right” Andre said my mouth slackened as I wondered if it was the same Andre that I had loathed my entire life.

The one who made my life a living hell.

“Arrgh” A groan escaped the Luna’s lips as she shot death stares at me before leaving the room in anger.

I expelled a sigh of relief, placing my hand on my chest as I screwed my eyes shut.

“Is he gone now?” I thought to myself but when I heard the footsteps that approached me, I knew that he wasn't gone and my eyes flicked open while I retracted my step backward with every step that he took towards me.

His eyes gleamed as all the galaxies gathered inside and honestly, I didn't care, the only thing I was bothered about was why in the world was he walking towards me and why was my heart pounding so hard.

“W-What are you doing?” I stuttered as my voice quavered with every step that he took toward my direction.

He suddenly stopped on his track and ran his hands through his hair like he was taken aback by my question.

“I am confused, I stood up for you yesterday and I stood up for you today, shouldn't you be thanking me for helping you, Amelia? Plus don't you think that we have something to talk about?” He said and I could swear that I saw a smirk creep at the corner of his lips.

My heart thudded like galloping horses because I knew what he meant! He wanted us to talk about the mate thing and that was the last thing that I even wanted! Before, I said that I would reject the three of them one by one but just standing before Andre made me lose courage.

So, it made me wonder what would happen when Zachary and Chase were present as well.

I didn't know where I got the sudden courage from but all I knew was that I had already finished uttering the words before the gravity of my words began dawning on me.

“The last time I checked, I didn't ask for your help! I have been fine all along and I have nothing to talk to you about. If it is about the mate thing, then I am glad to say that I, Amelia, reject you, Andre as my mate” I blurted out.

My hands flew over my mouth instantly as he glared so hard at me that it felt like the ground should give up its content and take me in instead.

“Did you just talk like that to me huh?” He asked coldly.

In a split second, Andre rushed towards me and pushed me so hard that my backI hit the wall. He caged me against the wall with his breath all over my face which sent cold shivers down my spine. His fingers trailed around my jaw and all of a sudden, he raised my jaw tightening his grip around it.

“What did you say?” His voice was calm but I could sense the anger in his voice.

I couldn't find the courage to stare at him right in the eyes and when he saw that I couldn't make eye contact with him, he tightened his grip so hard around my jaw that a slow whimper escaped my lips.

He jerked my head up, forcing me to stare right at him in the eyes.

“Just because you were mated to me doesn't give you the right to forget your place!”

“Don't forget that you are nothing but a lowly omega who is a slave here and I am your Alpha, I rule over you, and before you even forget, you belong to this pack and if anyone should be rejecting anyone, it should be me”

My eyes reddened as a wave of anger rushed through me. He was just pretending all along! I was right, he would never change and he would forever be condescending for life.

“So you are going to reject me and then accept those jerks, Zachary and Chase? You must be a clown then! The school would be starting tomorrow and as you know, I would be attending and those jerks would be attending as well!”

“I must not see you around any of them! You do know about my bad blood with them and if you dare breathe the same air with them, then I would kill you before my mom does” He snarled as I quivered in fear.

A scoff escaped his lips. “Rejecting me? I don’t care but I don’t want to see you with those fools most especially, Zachary”

“Do you understand?” He barked.

I was at a loss for words to say and couldn’t help but wonder how many personalities he has and how he was acting as if he had changed. Maybe I was the fool for believing that they had all changed! It was just impossible for Andre, Zachary, and Chase to go through character development in a few years.

“Do you!” He snarled, jolting me out of my thoughts.

I had no choice but to respond to his words as tears stung at the back of my eye but I wouldn’t cry before him. That was the last thing that I would do.

“Yes, I understand.”

It was morning and my morning was as miserable as ever. From washing the dishes and serving breakfast to doing the laundry even though I would still be going to school and to worsen it all, it was Gleo high school!

Yesterday night, uniforms were sent out to the members of different packs that would be attending the school. Social media was buzzing with the news of the school reopening and most especially, people looked forward to seeing Andre, Zachary, and Chase attending the school again.

However, the same wasn’t the case for me and I didn’t look forward to anything because I knew that my life would just be going from worse to worse and if I could switch schools, I would.

I would do anything to make sure that I am not in the same space as the three of them but what could I do? I had no say in my life other than to obey like a sheep being led to the s*******r.

After being done with my house chores, I made my way to school, not giving a single f**k about how I looked because honestly, it didn’t matter. Whether I looked good or not, I would always be picked on and bullied!

As I walked down the street that led to school, different luxury cars drove past me and I was just glad that those in the car didn’t notice me because if they did, they would have made time to pick on me.

I heaved a sigh, glancing behind me when I caught sight of Andre’s car. I wanted to hide but it was too late because he had seen me already.

“I just wish that I can disappear right now!” I muttered to myself as he slowed down his car and honked at me. I cussed at him inside my mind before turning to look at him.

He looked so breathtaking like the evil demon that he was. He kept flashing creepy smiles at me as he yelled. “I am watching you!”

I rolled my eyes and I was glad that he didn’t notice what I did. He chortled and drove off while I watched his car and the only thing I wanted to do was to strangle him to death.

It had hardly been a minute when Andre drove past me when a motorbike stopped next to me. I froze on the spot instantly as soon as I heard someone call for my name.

“Amelia” His deep husky voice echoed through the air and it felt like everything stopped and I was the only one in my world. I swung my head in his direction and my mouth slackened in shock and my heart palpitated in fear at the same time.

“Z-Zachary” I stuttered as he walked towards me in a tiger-like manner.

“Why are you walking on your own to school? There are no cars? Take this and come along with me” He said and with every step that he took, my heart skipped a bit. The wind blew his wavy hair, causing some strands of hair to fall on his face.

He threw a helmet at me and I almost lost balance instantly.

Before I could say Jack Robinson, a car reversed back in speed and Andre came out of the car as his eyes blazed red with fire.

“Get in the car now, Amelia!”He roared.
