1116 Words
Diana is a day dreamer as well as an over thinker. She is an introvert and has only two friends, Elizabeth and Scarlett . They became friends in high school and are still friends, but Diana only talk to them once in a while, because she is busy with all her family duties and her studies. Last night she was in bed and was thinking about her first day of university all night and by the time she came out of her small world, it was already 6 o'clock in the morning. She got out of her bed, thinking that there is no point in trying to sleep now. Although her first lecture is at 10 o'clock, but she has to leave the house early because her house is far from that place, and she has to take the subway for 1 hour before she will reach there. Her room is themed with cream colored walls and all the furniture is of sky blue and white color, she opened her wardrobe, picked a white sweatshirt with a small red flower on it on the right side and a dark colored loose denim jeans. After choosing her outfit she went to take the bath and came half an hour later. She dried her hair, applied lotion on her body and cherry scented body mist. For makeup she only put some clear red lip gloss on her lips.  Diana looked at the clock to see that there is still an hour left, she was not feeling nervous, but she can not deny, that she had this weird feeling which was slowing rising in her heart. So to feel better she went out of her room only to find Edward standing at her door, he was about to knock when she opened the door, he stood there dumbfounded and after a while entered in her room. She smiled sweetly at her brother's silly face, he is not an early riser, but she knows he only woke up for her. "So why are you here?" Diana asked her brother while both of them sat on the couch, which is placed besides her bed. "Can't you tell? I am here to tell you, Diana, you can do this, all the things that dad and grandma says about you are absolutely rubbish. Never forget that you worked really hard to be at this place. So keep fighting and one day you will reach the place you always dreamed of." Diana could see how serious and concerned her brother was when he said those words.  "Lets go and have your breakfast, mama has cooked your favorite pancakes." Edward said while getting up from his seat and then went out of the room after giving his sister a pure smile. Diana also got up, she sighed deeply and reached at their dinning room. "Oh! Look who is here to have breakfast with us today, is everything alright Diana? Are not you always late for work?" Grandma threw her taunting questions at Diana, while Liam also stared at her with raised eyebrows. Diana sat quietly beside her brother on the dinning table while ignoring her grandma's and father's questioning eyes. Lucy also sat with them after placing Diana's favorite banana pancakes, half fried eggs, bread, butter, chocolate syrup, the milk tea kettle and Liam's coffee mug besides his plate on the table. Everyone started eating their breakfast silently. "Don't worry mother, Diana will be having breakfast with us more often from now on, she will go to the bookstore in the evening because of her morning classes." Lucy said sweetly while looking at Diana and her Grandma.  "And Yes! Being on this topic, Liam why don't you drop Diana at her university today, since its her first day at that place?" Lucy said joyfully while looking at Liam, who is too busy with his breakfast. "I don't have time for this, I have to reach at my company early today, she can go there on her own, she is not a child and besides who told her to go to a university which is that far away from our place." Liam replied with an annoyed face while looking at his wife. "I am leaving mother, see you soon, bye." Liam said after getting up from his chair, he kissed his mother's cheek and then left the room. "Can't you see, he came late last night and he also woke up early to go back to his work today, for whom is he working so hard? Instead of being thankful you are trying to throw more work on his face. Such an ungrateful woman you are." Grandma said to Lucy in an angry tone.  Diana got up and went back to her room, after putting her plate in the sink. She checked her bag to see if she has all the required supplies and then stood in front of the vanity to make a high ponytail of her long dark brown loosely curly hair. While tying her white sneakers shoelaces, she started thinking about how she learned to do this on her own and after that she even taught it to Edward, instead of feeling sad, she felt a small spark of pride in her heart and slightly smiled to herself. Lucy came into her room at that same moment and Diana also gave her mother the very same smile she had, when she was tying her shoelaces. "Thank God! You are smiling, I thought my daughter was sad and left the dinning table with a heavy heart." Lucy sighed with relief and hugged her daughter. "Do well like you always do honey. You are my pride Diana."Lucy said while still hugging Diana. "I will! Mama, now i gotta leave, i will go straight to the bookstore and then to the restaurant, I won't be having dinner at home, bye." Diana said and broke the hug, she kissed Lucy's cheek and left the room. "Bye brother see you" Diana smiled and waved at Edward who was standing at her room's doorstep. "Bye Diana! Have a nice day." Edward shouted at her when she passed across him. Diana stood at her university's gate and after sighing lightly she went inside. She was going to the place where her very first lecture was supposed to happen, there were a lot of students going here and there to reach their departments, when all of a sudden, she saw a boy standing in front of her, he was staring at her, while standing still, she looked into his green eyes, and a very strange emotion was present in those eyes, an emotion she never saw in anyone's eyes for her, before him. She felt weird and to ignore this feeling she broke their eyes' contact and walked away.
