Diana's Life
This is the story of a girl named Diana. Unfortunately, she did not have much of a good childhood, but she still has quite a mature and responsible personality. She lives in a small house in Brooklyn, New York. Grandparents are the greatest blessing for a child, but not for her.
Her grandfather had died long ago, but her grandmother is still alive. She believes that the men of the house should go out and earn all the money, they should not do any house chores, while the women should stay at home and take care of all the house chores on their own and this is how their household works as well. Diana's grandmother only cares about herself and her son and she is always very rude and arrogant towards everyone else in the house.
Liam, Diana's father, works for a construction company and earns a good sum of money to run the house. His behaviour is not very good with his children. He shouts and gets angry at them about small stuff because of the load of work he always has. He also does not miss a chance to taunt and disgrace his wife, Lucy, about every tinniest mistake.
Lucy is only living and bearing her husband's and his mother's torture for the sake of her children, whom she loves dearly. She is not only a very kind and caring lady, but also a very good mother to her children as well. She used to live in an orphanage and got married to Liam, when she was only eighteen. Diana had always tried to help her mother with the house chores. She had also always stayed by her younger brother's side to do his upbringing along with her mother.
Edward, Diana's younger brother, on the other hand, is a very nice and caring boy, who supports his mother and sister in every aspect of their lives. He is a great brother to his sister Diana, and respects her a lot because she has always been there for him, when he needed her, in tough times. They have been not just siblings but best friends, since childhood.
Diana is now 21 years old, and Edward is almost 18, but they still live with their parents because they do not want their mother to live alone with their grandmother and their father. Diana dislikes her father's and grandmother's actions and personalities a lot. She completely disagrees with their beliefs, but this dislikeness is only for them. She loves her mother and younger brother a lot, even more than her own self, and can sacrifice anything and everything for them.
Diana has been doing two part-time jobs for a while now, because she does not want to ask her father to give her, his money. She has gotten selected to one of the best business universities in the country. The university allowance and fees are indeed quite too much for her, but since she has a scholarship and receives her earnings from the part-time jobs, she is able to pay for it on her own. Her dreams are not very massive, she just wants to complete her bachelor's degree, get herself a nice office job and become successful and happy in life. Her first part-time job is as a waitress in a five-star restaurant and she also works as a manager at a famous bookstore.
She can be very passionate and determinant when it comes to her life's aims and goals, but she also has a soft corner in her heart, for her family. She believes that she must not waste any of her time or energy on any other exceptional relationship and, for this reason, she has never gotten herself a boyfriend either. All and all, her whole life revolves around her family and her life goals.
