SWORN ENEMIES

Dana stood from where she was and left the room not replying Lemuel's question. The ginger haired witch could only sigh when she left the room leaving him alone with the witch turned human. She entered the living room and saw Damon sitting at the lounge chair by the window and as if he sensed her presence, he turned to look at her and gestured for her to sit which she did. "What did you see?" He asked as his voice echoed in the quiet house. "How could i possibly see something when you couldn't? You already knew her memories were hidden yet you still called me here, i doubt you called me here to confirm your suspicion. Why did you bring me here?" Damon sighed loudly as he heard her question. "So you couldn't see anything?" He asked as the corner of his lip curled into a smirk. Dana gritted her teeth when she heard his reply, he was obviously avoiding her question and she didn't know why she felt he just mocked her for not being able to look into Margaux's memory, she didn't know why she got upset with what he just uttered. She closed her eyes as she took a deep breath to calm herself. "There is also something hidden about her." She watched him arch his brow giving her a look filled with questions that made Dana's lip curled into a smirk as she thought she had managed to pique his interest. "The bracelet on her hand, I'm sure you must have seen it. I was looking at the bracelet and i felt an immerse energy from that bracelet but when i tried looking into the bracelet to know what kind of spell was in the bracelet, i saw nothing." She explained, giving him details of the things she had noticed about the mysterious bracelet although she didn't know if Damon had also noticed the bracelet because from his expression, he didn't look surprised neither did he look as though he had an idea about the bracelet. She couldn't quite get the expression on his face. After she was done with her explanation, she waited for him to reply. "The bracelet was given to her to drive away badlucks because she thinks she's cursed. You must have felt the bad energy coming from that bracelet." Damon's unexpected reply rendered her speechless. She didn't think of the bracelet being a device to drive away badlucks, was what she felt bad energy? No... she felt there was something more to it. If it was a bracelet that chase away bad energy, why was she unable to see it when she tried looking into it and how did he know about the bracelet being able to drive away badlucks? "How do you know?" "I just know." He replied almost immediately, not leaving a clue on how he knew about the bracelet. She could not help but think that this man was hiding something, no, he knew something that none of them were aware of. She was about to open her mouth to utter a word when he cut in. "You've done enough, you can leave now." He said as he stood up to leave the living room. "But I'm not done yet." She retorted rising to her feet as she stopped him from leaving. She had not even told him of all the things she had noticed about Margaux and yet he was just about to send her away because she was useless to him. Damon turned to face the little witch before him, he could see how adamant she was and he wondered what else she still wanted to tell him. "What else do you have to say?" "What if...... what if there was someone else?" She found it weird at how calm he was despite finding out her memories were hidden and then he talked about the mysterious bracelet being a device to chase away bad energy but that didn't still clear her doubts, no, that wasn't enough to dispel her uncertainty. "What if there is another powerful witch like Margaux who is protecting her?" "What did you just say?" A voice echoed from behind and Dana immediately turned back to see the vampire crown prince approaching them. "There's another powerful witch? Answer me!" Caesar growled as he stopped right in front of Dana facing her. Dana frowned as she gritted her teeth, if there was one vampire she despised the most, it was him. All these years, he made the witches feel like dirt and scums. She knew how much he also despised her people and she hated him for that. She could not even imagine the things he would do to them once he became the king. "It's just an assumption." She replied. "What do you think Damon?" He asked turning to look at Damon who kept his usual poker face watching the both of them. He didn't say anything for a while as though he was thinking about what Dana had uttered a while ago. "Like she said, it's just an assumption but if there is really another powerful witch protecting Margaux, then that witch failed because as long as she is with me, I'll make sure she remember her past. It's getting late, you should go back to grey forest." He said before walking out of the living room. "I'll take my leave." Dana said excusing herself as she did not want to spend more time with her sworn enemy. "What brought about that assumption?" Caesar asked making her stop on her track. "To me, it sounded as if you were absolutely certain that there was another powerful witch." Dana didn't turn back to look at him. "Why should i tell you the reason? Afterall, we are sworn enemies." She replied before she left the room leaving the crown prince stunned by her reply. "Sworn enemies." He snorted with laughter as he repeated her choice of word.
