The meeting

1005 Words
The few hours that I have been here passed quickly. After I finished unpacking my clothes in my room aunt Leila went with me to their private beach to take a swim. I love the ocean and I could stay in the water for hours. Aunt Leila received a phone call and looked worried. She didn't want to talk about it just said that my uncle Barry won't be home for a few days he still had some work to finish and Jeandre will be joining him to make it go more quickly. When I asked her about Jeandre she said that he is a renter but he rents the room in their apartment and he is like a child to her. It has been five days since I've been here and it is my birthday today and my uncle is returning today. I can't wait to see him again. "Finally eighteen," I say to myself as I jump up and down in my room. Aunt Leila is having a barbeque for me at the pool and this time she invited the whole house to join us. She never invites them to my birthday. I quickly get dressed into a beautiful white summer dress that perfectly complements my body's curves and underneath I have my new black bikini on. I'm planning on getting a lot of sun on my body today. I don't put any makeup on and I leave my long brown hair to flow freely down my back. I walk outside surprised to see that a few people were already in the pool and others were sitting in groups chatting. Everyone congratulates me as I walk past them straight to my Aunt where she is sitting underneath a tree talking to grandma. She quickly jumps up when I approach them and showers me with kisses. "Happy birthday my big girl I cant believe u are all grown up now" she wipes her tears and then hugs me tightly. "Barry will be here soon and he will bring your gift with him," she says as she sits back down I hug grandma and she wishes me a happy birthday. I was busy taking my dress off when an incredible mouth-watering smell hit my nose. Just as I had my dress off I see a man rushing this way. He is the most handsome man that I have ever seen and the smell gets more intense and I heard him say "mine". I was really confused and he tried to grab me towards him. I hear uncle Barry in a loud voice shout to the guy "Not now Jeandre stand down right now" I was so shocked at how he was reacting I did not understand what was happening. Aunt Leila pulls me towards the house but my eyes are locked on Jeandre. What is happening here? Inside the house, I pull my arm away from her and look her dead set in the eyes but my voice was shaky when I spoke. "Aunt Leila please tell me what just happened" she had all kinds of emotion on her face. Happiness, relief, shock, but also a hint of sadness. "Please go to your room and stay there. I have to talk to your uncle and then we will come to talk to you I promise." I had no time to argue and she left. After about an hour in my room, there's a knock on the door, and Aunt Leila asking me to go to the living room with her. My eyes looked around the room but I didn't see him just grandma and grandpa, aunt Leila and uncle Barry. They looked confused and I started to get worried. "Please sit down sweetheart we need to talk," uncle Barry says. I sit down and my eyes go from one person to the next and none of them are talking. "Well is anybody going to tell me what the hell is going on and. Why that guy out there was grabbing me like that," I asked in a loud voice? "O honey we're so sorry we should have told you from the start," grandma said. Grampa nods his head but looks at aunt Leila to speak. She starts to cry and I can see her gathering strength to say what she has to say. "firstly for you to understand everything I have to tell you something else and I know you will probably be mad at me, at us, but it was necessary. You are our daughter" she looked so sad and honestly I am not surprised. I enjoy being around them even more than my parents or let me say the people who I thought were my parents. I get up and hug her tightly. "It is ok I promise, I love u both, but I have to ask why did you lie?" She looks at the others in the room and then back at me. "Well because I am a witch and your father is a werewolf," she said as if it is the most normal thing in the world to say. I started laughing at them thinking it is a joke but the look on their faces told me they were dead serious. "At the age of 2, you started showing signs of having magic. It was nothing at first but then your magic started getting out of hand and you were hurting your babysitters when you didn't get your way and throwing a fit. We tried everything to keep your powers under control but nothing would work. We had to suppress your magic at the age of 3 after an accident happened. We decided to send you to live with Gina and Albert so that we could keep you safe from yourself and other people because we knew you were special. Normal witches only start developing magic at the age of 16. So we knew we had to do it we truly are sorry for not telling you." my newfound mother said.
