Chapter 1: The Fateful Encounter in Emerald Bay
In the garden of the Emerald Bay luxury residential area, the flowers were in full bloom and the grass was like a carpet, just like a peaceful paradise. Olivia, a well-known fashion magazine editor who was emerging in the fashion industry, was strolling along the garden path, trying to find a moment of peace and inspiration during her busy work. She was wearing a simple yet elegant white dress, the hem of which swayed gently in the breeze. Her smooth long hair was casually draped over her shoulders, and her delicate face carried a trace of fatigue and contemplation.
Just then, a rare flower in full bloom in the distance caught her eye. The flower had bright colors and delicate petals, as if it were a work of art carefully crafted by nature. Olivia couldn't help but stop and lean over slightly, wanting to admire this rare beauty more closely.
"This flower is really unique. It's very rare." A gentle and melodious voice came from behind. Olivia turned around and saw an elegant woman smiling at her. The woman's name was Evelyn. She was wearing a light blue floral dress with a thin white belt around her waist, which perfectly outlined her slender waist. Her hair was coiled into an elaborate bun, and a few strands of hair hung down on both sides of her cheeks, adding a bit more charm. Her eyes were bright and full of life, as if hiding countless stories.
"Yes, its color and shape are so beautiful, just like a work of art. Are you also interested in flowers?" Olivia replied, with a hint of surprise in her eyes. She didn't expect to meet someone who was also interested in flowers here.
"Well, I like to study these beautiful things in my spare time. I've always been attracted to the fashion industry." Evelyn tilted her head slightly, with a trace of curiosity and admiration in her eyes. "I heard that you are the editor of a fashion magazine. That must be a job full of charm and challenges."
Olivia smiled gently and said modestly, "It is indeed very challenging, but it also allows one to come into contact with many beautiful things, just like the flowers in this garden. By the way, what do you usually do?"
Evelyn sighed softly, and a flash of loneliness passed through her eyes. "I've been taking art-related courses before, but now I'm relatively free and have a lot of time to do what I like. Actually, I also hope to achieve something in a certain field like you. Unfortunately..." She paused, as if she had many things that were hard to express.
Olivia was affected by Evelyn's emotions and felt a trace of sympathy in her heart. "Everyone has their own opportunities and challenges. Maybe you will find your own direction in the future."
The two of them just stood in the garden and had a heated discussion about art, music, and fashion. From classical oil paintings to modern pop music, from Paris Fashion Week to Milan Design Exhibition, the topics flowed continuously, as if they were old friends who hadn't seen each other for many years and had endless things to talk about. Olivia found that Evelyn had unique insights into fashion. Her views were novel and sharp, and she couldn't help but look at her with new eyes.
Unconsciously, the sun was gradually setting in the west, and the sky was dyed a gorgeous orange-red. Olivia looked at the time and felt a trace of reluctance in her heart. "Time flies. It was really nice chatting with you."
A trace of reluctance also flashed in Evelyn's eyes. "Me too. I haven't talked so freely for a long time."
Olivia hesitated for a moment and then said with a smile, "If you don't mind, you are welcome to come to my place and continue chatting. I happen to have some newly collected fashion magazines that I want to share with you."
Evelyn's eyes lit up and she readily agreed. "That's wonderful. I'm honored."
