It had been hours since Nate had arrived home. He'd been working late these past few days. It was the best time to get most of his work done he'd discovered for a while now. He was beside himself. After all, Halle rejected him.
Her reasons were noble he was sure but it did nothing to take a chunk out of the disappointment and hurt that filled him. What's worse? It did nothing to deter how he felt about her. In fact, it only increased exponentially.
