Knock... knock ... knock. Halle rolled over on her bed not ready to give up her precious sleep yet. She heard the faint sound of rapping at the door. When it died down, Halle reverted to her sleeping position only to hear the racking once again.
Her foot groggily found the floor reluctantly as she pulled herself from her bed. Checking the time on the wall, Halle made her way over to the door peering through the peephole. What the heavens? What was her brother doing here?
When she finally opened it, her big brother hoisted her up in his arms and over his shoulder.
"Hey sis," Hal chuckled as he held her on his shoulder by one of his arms.
"Hal put me down," Halle gasped.
"Oh, you're no fun." He offered a cocky grin as she tried, yielding no results. "I'm just happy to see my baby sis."
