Chapter 7

Luna's POV

As we were about to approach Julie, she looked nervous and kept on moving about in her seat... I kind of feel bad for her. Maybe something did happen?

"Hey Julie, are you okay?" I quickly asked.

"Oh h- hey Lu- Luna... Yea, I'm okay. What do you mean by that?" Julie replied, looking at her surroundings after every word.

"Julie... Are you sure? If you're not fine, you can always tell us that... You can trust us, okay?" Bleu told her, holding both her shoulders.

"Okay fine, I'm not okay... You happy?" Julie replied, quickly standing up after answering us.

"What's wrong?" I asked, feeling kind of worried.

"It- It's my dad.." She replied, looking down onto the floor.

"H- He's been admitted to the hospital and I don't even know what happened!" She added. "When I called my mom, she told me that it was all under control and I shouldn't worry about it b- but I can't!!"

"Okay okay, chill! Everything's going to be okay!" Bleu said, trying to cool her down.

"No, it's not! I don't even know where my mom is!" She exclaimed.

"Shhhh! If all of you are going to make a lot of noise here, I suggest you all get out of this library right this instance!" The librarian reprimanded us.

"Okay, I think it's time to get out of here... Let's go!" Chad quickly said, rushing out of the library with all of us behind him.

Luna's POV

"Okay, so where do we go to talk?" Bleu quickly asked after leaving the library.

"Maybe we should go to class first? It's starting soon and I wouldn't want anybody to be late." Julie promptly replied.

"Okay, we'll meet at the bench outside of school just right beside the gate to school. There's enough privacy for us to talk without anyone eavesdropping." I stated.

"Good call Luna! Okay guys, see you there during the break!" Bleu said, before splitting ways to our classes.

-Skip to when they have their lunch break-

Chad's POV

I was already at the bench near the gate, waiting for the others. My teacher released us earlier so it was great for me to quickly book our seats. Just as I was about to head to the bathroom, I saw this young lady who looked around her 30s, wearing a violet dress and had dark red hair, talking to our principal outside the school premises. I've never seen this lady before so I was kind of skeptical about the whole situation. I decided to eavesdrop on them so I could figure out what's going on.

"Great job! This should help buy us some time. You may go now, update me about him okay?" The principal said.

As I heard the last part of the sentence, I noticed that the young lady looked at me. I quickly rushed back to the bench, hoping that both of them didn't notice me listening in on them. I was about to freak out when suddenly I heard Luna's voice.

"Chad? Chad!" Luna screamed, walking to the bench with the others.

"Oh h- Heyy.." I nervously spoke.

"Chad? Are you okay?" Bleu asked, looking at me weirdly.

"Sit down. I'll tell you all what happened as soon as the principal's gone." I quickly told them, side glancing at the gate.

They all slowly looked at the gate and saw the principal standing outside near a car, a Silver Porsche Cayenne. About a minute later, the car drove off and we all looked at it.

"Wait... What was the person wearing Chad? Was it a male or female? Does she look old or young?" Julie quickly asked.

"Woah Woah Woah... Slow down Julie," I replied. "First, it was a young lady with red hair. She looked young, probably around her mid-30s and she was wearing a violet dress. Why?" I answered.

"Oh my god.." Julie shockingly replied.

"Why? What's wrong Julie?" Bleu asked, looking worried for Julie.

Ugh, I hate that he cares so much about her. I quickly rolled my eyes.

"Th- That's my mom!" Julie replied.

"WHAT?!" We all shouted.

Luna's POV

"Wait, so that's your mom? What is she doing here?!" Bleu exclaimed.

"How am I supposed to know?! She left me, remember?" Julie said, looking down at her hands.

"Oh right.. I'm sorry." Bleu quickly replied.

"Wait... Chad, did you hear them talk or anything before we came here?" I asked, looking at Chad.

"Not really... All I heard was, "great job! This should help buy us some time. You may go now, update me about him okay?" that's all.." Chad told us.

"Okay, something's suspicious here... Like it doesn't make sense. Why would your mom be here and why would she be talking to the principal out of all people?" Bleu questioned, thinking deep, hoping to find an answer.

"Wait! I've got it!" I legit shouted, feeling kind of proud that I solved the puzzle.

"What is it?" Chad asked.

"Okay, think about it... Chad, do you remember the day we got quarantined and we had to take this special 'medicine' at home?" I asked, looking at Chad.

"Yea, why?" Chad quickly replied.

"Woahh, that happened to you guys? I'm so sorry!" Julie said.

"It's fine... It's not your fault," I said. "Well, what if I said that I wasn't that unconscious when they first gave me the medication? Would you believe me?" I said, slightly smiling.

"What did you find or figure out?" Chad looked at me, slightly smiling back.

"I found out that the medicine they gave us belonged to a company. It starts with an R and ends with an n. It's quite short but I just couldn't figure out the name yet." I explained.

"Is it Rowan?" Julie quietly asked, looking down at her hands again.

"I think it is! Wait, how did you know the answer?" I asked, kind of shocked.

"It's my last name.." Julie slowly replied.

"Oh my God! I understand what's going on now!" Chad excitedly replied.

"Well, I don't... Care to explain?" Bleu asked.

"Okay, so now we know and confirm that the young lady who the principal just met and talked to was Julie's mom and we know for a fact that the medicine was by the Rowan's, a.k.a. Julie's family... When I heard the conversation between the principal and Julie's mom, they were talking about a 'He' and I suspect that the 'He' could be Julie's dad, who recently just got into an accident and passed away... I'm sorry Julie.." Chad slowly explained. "Well, what if it was on purpose?" Chad added.

"What do you mean by 'on purpose'? They did that so they could get rid of Julie's dad?" Bleu asked.

"Probably... They're crazy! No offense Ju." Chad answered.

"Well, what are we going to do now? Even if I were to ask my mom, she wants nothing to do with me and she doesn't even care about me anymore.." Julie said.

"Do you by any chance know where your mom's office is? Maybe we can start there?" I suggested.

"Yes I do know, I used to go there all the time... but don't we have school right now and I'm pretty sure it's guarded by tons of bodyguards," Julie replied.

"We could go there after school and figure out a plan to get into her room without anyone noticing!" Bleu said.

"Well okay then.. See you all after school!" Julie exclaimed. "I really do hope it works. I miss you mom.." Julie whispered to herself.

"We will Julie, don't worry about it okay.." I whispered back, placing my hand onto her right shoulder, comforting her.

"Thanks, Luna!" She replied, smiling brightly at me.
