Chapter 1
Bleu's POV It's here. I'm here. It's official, I'm dead. These were the only words that kept repeating every 3 seconds in my head as I'm currently inside a cab, on the way to Wayshire Academy. From what I've heard, Wayshire Academy has a great education system and is one of the top schools in this city, Wayshire Roosevelt. All of my relatives went there for school when they were 20 years old so it felt like I needed to show them that I'm different and smarter than all of them combined. I've never felt so excited and nervous at the same time before- Well, probably because I was homeschooled back in Germany. Man, I miss Germany. I miss my parents. Most importantly, I miss my aunt. Just as I was about to tear up about my parents' death and my aunt's illness, the cab soon stopped in front of a huge, black, creepy-looking gate that sent goosebumps all over my body. Something about it makes me wonder why on earth were people studying in this academy and how did they end up here. Were they forced to study here like how my aunt forced me? Looking at the gate, it seemed worn out and the paint on the walls beside the gate seemed crusty and looked like it was about to fall off soon. "Don't they know how to decorate and re-paint? Jeez." I muttered, looking out the window curiously. "Sir, I've reached your destination. How would you like to pay me? By cash or credit card?" The cab driver asked me. "Cash, please. Thank you very much!" I replied, slightly smiling. After waving goodbye to the driver, I went out of the cab and was instantly taken aback by the odd scent coming from the atmosphere. I quickly realized that the place reeked of smoke so I took the initiative to cover my mouth and nose with my bandana that I had worn over my wrist and briskly walked inside the academy through the gate. No one was guarding the gate so I felt quite scared for my safety. The walk to Wayshire Academy was within arm's reach, so the smell didn't bother me that much. As I was walking, I noticed that some of the buildings inside the campus looked old and some even had crusty paint on them. Honestly, it looks unappealing but I was here to study and not to judge a worn-out academy. Well, not yet. End of POV After entering the front doors of Wayshire Academy, Bleu saw that quite a few students were in the hallway so he asked one of them for directions to the principal's office where he would be assigned with a student who has the same class schedule as him and would be given a tour around the academy's premises before going to his classes for the first time. The hallway in the academy was extremely different from the exterior of the academy. It was more colorful and it seemed more lively. There were tall bright red lockers everywhere, a few brown doors connected to different rooms and a staircase. Bleu's POV "Hey, d- do you know where the principal's office i- is? I- I'm a new exchanged student from Germany so I- I don't know my way around th- the academy." I said, slightly stuttering. "Oh, it's on the second level, near the infirmary. I'm Luna by the way, nice to meet you." She said, holding her hand out for me to shake it. "Oh..." I replied, still feeling a tiny bit nervous. "Oh! I'm sorry! I'm just really nervous... I'm Bleu, it's spelled as B, L, E, U and not B, L, U, E." I replied, chuckling a bit. "Oh well, I'm headed to the infirmary. If you want, I could lead you the way?" "Yea, that would be amazing! Thank you so much!" I said, slightly jumping up. "Hey, no problem! Just give me a minute, I need to put my textbook in my locker and we'll head over there." Luna said, pointing to the bright red lockers near the staircase I saw in the hallway. "Okay... I'll just wait for you here then!" I replied, smiling. As soon as I see Luna headed towards her locker, I noticed that a guy around my age approaches her, glancing back at me, whispering in her ear. I was really curious and felt intimidated so I went over there to figure out what was wrong. Luna's POV I was walking back to my locker, somewhat excited that I made a new friend in school. As I was about to reach my locker, Chad went up to me and whispered something in my ear. You see, Chad's my best friend. He was the first friend that I had made since I got transferred to Wayshire Academy about a year ago. He was here longer than me, 3 years to be exact, so he's overprotective of me and is like my older brother. "Hey, who's the new kid?" Chad asked, glancing back at Bleu. "Oh, he's just a new exchanged student from Germany. He was lost and wanted directions to the principal's office. It's a great coincidence because I was assigned to give a tour to a new student today!" I said, grinning. "Well, I'd watch your back if I were you. We rarely get new exchange students here... The last exchange student we'd received was a year ago, which was you, Luna." Chad said, stating a fact. "Oh don't be ridiculous Chad. I'm sure that he's a good guy and we can trust him. I'll take your advice but I wouldn't want to disappoint my new friend!" I said, smiling back at Chad. As I reach my locker, I saw that Bleu was approaching us so I cleared my throat and asked Chad to be nice. I didn't want Chad arguing with Bleu just because he was new here. Bleu's innocent. Chad's POV I was standing near my locker when I saw Luna talking to someone that I've never met before. I'm guessing he must be new here so I'd better watch my back. Ever since I joined Wayshire Academy, nothing bad had happened here for years, well until Luna got transferred here. You see, Wayshire Academy isn't just a normal academy for students to study at. It's a special place- extraordinary to be exact. As I was about to think about what had happened here before, I saw Luna walking back to her locker so I took the chance to warn her about what happened before and to not repeat our mistakes again. I don't want Luna to get hurt again. Bleu's POV I was approaching Luna when I saw something weird- Something that I had never seen before. I saw Luna directing her books with her hand, into the shelves inside her locker. She wasn't holding them but it was floating by themselves, like what we see in movies or television shows. "Oh my god! Is that telekinesis?!" I shockingly yelled. "Shhh, you don't have to yell! Now shut up will you?" Luna's friend snapped back at me. "Dude, chill!" Luna looked at Chad, slapping his hand. "Sorry about him. Chad, meet Bleu. Bleu, meet Chad. Chad's my best friend, Bleu's an exchanged student from Germany. Let's get to the principal's office quick and I'll explain everything to you later." Luna quickly explained. "Okay..." I replied, kind of skeptical of Luna now.
