Hard times ahead

I don't know how long it had been since I fell asleep and started my training with Crystal, however I felt a presence near me that seemed to provide no bad intent. I opened my eyes to see Alpha Brayden looking at me in my wolf form smiling. "It's nice to finally see Crystal in person". I chuckled and asked him via the mind-link 'So where do I stand now in the pack since I have this power and how will I practice when Crystal is my mentor?' Alpha Brayden replied "Well we will have you train here with all the elements and as for the infected, I'm sorry honey you will have to train on them outside. As for your position you will be taking over as Alpha this coming spring. In regard to your mate, did Crystal say anything, Aiden was going nuts trying to find you." With an amused smirk he replayed a memory through our mind-link of a black wolf looking everywhere in vain towards the south.

I sighed 'Crystal said I can freely choose, so why choose a male who doesn't want his selected mate' Brayden nodded in agreement causing me to smile. With a renewed sense of passion and happiness I leapt up from my comfy space following the greatest leader I've known in my life as we descended back into the forest towards a very agitated group of wolves. I looked towards a small tawny wolf to see her growling at a much larger bluish black wolf. "Get the f**k away from me you irksome letch." She growled through the mind link, and I chuckled as Ryan whined, laying down dejected with hurt showing in his eyes. On the other side of me I heard a much more troublesome growl coming from Aidan as he had finally spotted me. I looked at him boredly as I said 'lay down you mongrel' via the mind link.

With a yelp of severe surprise, he fell to the ground in an irritated manner. 'You b***h how f*****g dare you do this, I'm your mate I have rights to what is mine!' I stared at him wondering why I ever liked him and his nasty attitude he now had towards me. I stepped towards him with a growl that made everyone in the immediate area flinch. 'Listen here you obscene ignoramus of a wolf, I was chosen by the f*****g moon goddess herself to fix this f****d up world. This being the case as my reward I choose my own mate not the other way around. Now kindly f**k OFF!!' His eyes widened and with a mind of its own he ran off to go skulk somewhere.

Alpha Breydan laughed his butt off watching that wolf high tail it to lord knows where and turned towards me proudly. "Elena today we start your training so please hang here while I gather the rest of the pack to make an announcement." With that he turned to the loudspeaker saying in a booming voice "Pack come inside the arena I have something to bring up with everyone here." With that he placed the radio back in its holder. He winked at me with mischief, and I wondered what this crazy man had planned.

Charlie came up to me and said "Okay Elena with all the changes that took place I believe you need to start with running around the arena while we wait for the pack. " I looked at him like he was crazy, however I ran just for the heck of it. With the smell of fresh pine in my nose I ran the many acres in what seemed to be too fast. Everything zoomed by in a blur of brown and green. I felt like something was tickling me and asked, 'Crystal can we also make lightning or am I going crazy?' She chuckled and replied, 'I guess we can, I've never known any wolf to have this ability though.' I slowed down and directed the lightning at a boulder.

BANG, smoke flew from the boulder in a flash of light, I looked at it inquisitively only to discover through the dust there was a huge crack down the middle of it. Oh, this will be good.
