My dashing subtutor
I have not been attending lessons for a few days now I lied to my mum and Olive that I am not feeling well. I just didn't want to see Alex... Gosh, that man is annoying.
I was on my bed already awake when Olive entered the room.
"Good morning, my lady, how was your night?.
" Morning, Olive it was good thanks for asking.
"I will go prepare your bath".
" Thanks, I said as I stood up lazily from the bed."
"And, your sub tutor said he wants to see you. Are you sure you don't have issues with that handsome dude?. She smiled as she turned to look at me.
" Handsome my foot... Just go prepare my bath".
"He really wants to see you, he was serious when he said it".
" Please, Olive don't stress your self just do your chores and be good".
"I can finally see something is wrong somewhere, well I already heard so you don't have to tell me..." She had a funny smile as she entered.
"Yeah... I forgot that you maids are spies..." I undressed and entered the bathroom.
"Thanks, Olive".
" You are welcome, I will go and choose a dress for you. She left the bath for me to have my privacy.
I took my time taking my bath as I kept thinking about the argument with Alex and kept cursing. I finally stepped out of the bathroom. Olive picked a slim blue dress for me.
"Olive, don't you think this is a bit extra since there is no occasion today?"
"It's not my lady this is just a normal dress, you know you always have to look good, especially a day like this when you are going to see someone.
"Olive, stop acting extra I have already met Alex before so this is not necessary.
"We don't know what may happen, he might fall in love with you and you don't have to accept the suitor your stepmother has arranged for you". She winked at me as she said that.
"Please, stop with the daydreaming it's not gonna happen"
"Hmhmm, if you say so". She walked out of the room with my laundry
I wore the dress she gave me and went for breakfast. The whole family was already at the table.
I sat down at my spot across from my father.
"Good morning" I greeted everyone generally.
"Is there no reason for you to greet your father more appropriately? he is your dad and also the King". My stepmother said as she looked at me with a disgusting look.
"Why do you always have to pick on me woman, you are literally just a few years older than me don't act like my mother".
" Leo!" My parents called my name in unison surprised, my mum talked first.
"Leo, what is wrong with you, apologize to her now".
"Well Mum am sorry that is not happening today and I am also not leaving this dining until I am done with my food.
"Leo, are you in your right senses, you know she has the duty of your mother so she also earns the same respect as your mothers' and you don't disrespect your mother so apologize to her now before I lose my temper.
" Dad, am sorry respect goes both ways, she respects me I respect her, and I haven't seen anything she has done to make me respect her, so..."
"Leo, just stop the rubbish and apologize," My mother said as she was almost in tears.
"You all just made me lose my appetite". I stood up as I walked towards the garden.
" Leonora, get back her my father called, Olivia and the maids watched in silence as the atmosphere was very tense.
I stepped out and I felt a cool breeze. I rose my head to stare into nothing as Alex's voice distracted me.
"You know it's not nice for you to be on the bad side of your family" I turned to see him walking towards him. This man is really good-looking if only he had good behavior. I finally responded
"And how is that your business, Mr. Alex?"
"I can see you are feeling good but just didn't want to attend my class".
"We are not having this conversation, are we?"
"I am not here to rile you up, I am sorry for how our last class went, so to make up for that you can ask me for anything.
I looked at him in surprise at what he said, I really didn't see that coming.
"Oh really, you feel sorry for how you talked to me back then and you will really give me anything I want regardless of what it is?.
"Yes if it's not my head, then I can do anything else".
" Ok, I don't want anything much, just get me out the palace for a few hours".
"It's really not a hard task, but you can't go today because you have an issue with your family and you will be the talk of the palace today, so we can go some other time".
" Yeah that's true"
"Do you mind going for a walk?".
" You are being weirdly nice today, I don't mind though".
"Shall we". He gestured his hands to show the way.
We walked a few distances when he finally broke the silence.
" What's up with your stepmother".
"I don't want to talk about that now".
" So what do you think we should talk about?"
"Tell me more about vampires".
"And why is that I thought you didn't like the ideas of immortals, so what's with the sudden interest?.
"Will you tell me about it or question me?"
"Well, there is really nothing much about vampires. They drink blood to survive, they don't have the chance to go out in the sun without taking a particular portion. They are quite beautiful creatures, they have special abilities like unnatural speed, vision, strength, some can cause pain without touching and others I don't know of. That's the summary on vampires".
"That's quite interesting, I really wish to see one. Are they in the cities?.
"Yeah, they were rumored to be in the cities and then don't reveal their selves to the world. Why do you want to see one?".
"In the books, I read their beauty is always explained to be beyond the world's beauty standard".
"So you want to meet a vampire to verify if the authors were right, that's a funny reason though, they don't always have good deeds you know that right".
"Yes, I know".
"Enough talks on vampires".
We were already back in the garden and I felt I should head inside. It took a while for me to notice that he really looked dashing. I looked at him for some time before I eventually talked.
"Thank you for keeping my company, I appreciate it".
"My pleasure, I should be on my way, you should go in before I take my leave".
I smiled at him before I spoke.
"Your today self is much better and more like a gentleman. You should keep up with this new self.
"Thanks for your advice". He sarcastically said. I waved my hand to him as I went in.
My good time is over now back to reality.
I entered the palace hoping not to see anybody which happened. I walked hurriedly to my room to avoid any other problems. The first thing I saw in my room as I opened the door was a tray of food on my study table. I wondered who brought this. I moved closer to the table when a saw a note attached to the tray.
"I know you didn't have breakfast this morning because of what happened, you can have this, and don't worry about having to face your family it's already settled. Enjoy Alex".
Wow, this guy is really unpredictable why was he acting so annoying on our first meeting. Well thanks for the food
The food tasted good which made me wonder if he cooked it. It's still surprising that my stepmother is not here to throw words at me. It seems I can partly believe what he said. I went to my mother's room to just apologize for being rude during breakfast.
She was with her fashion designer picking a dress for the upcoming royal gathering.
She diverted her attention to me when she noticed my presence.
"Come over here Leo I was about to send her to you to take your measurements for your dress, you know the ball party is coming up soon and you have to dress so beautifully to have a nice suitor"
She is really not talking about what happened this morning. I was relieved and at the same time worried because it went as Alex said it. It took me some time to respond.
"Uhm, yes that would be good, she can just take it now to prevent the stress".
The fashion designer moved towards me to take my measurements.
" You have grown quite big my lady". She smiled at me and I responded with a smile.
"You can go and rest in your room for a while. My mother pecked my cheeks and she ordered me to rest.
Everything is going well, I have to ask Alex what he did, but whatever he did he shouldn't stop.
