Sleeping Arrangements

Ares P.OV.

We had just finished loading the last of the trunks when a small thud was heard. Arriving outside I found a large dragon and saw Mira stretching its head. “Lady Mira you called.” Said a voice from behind me. “Yes, Leland did you do as I asked.” It wasn’t a question but he answered her. “Yes, I brought the largest carriage we had it should be more than enough room.” I watched as they continued talking before Mira had everyone start loading the carriage. It didn’t take us long to have everything loaded and I was surprised that there was still room though not for a passenger. “Alright, you two hop up onto the bench but leave the middle for me.” Leland said to Tobias and Anessa who did as told after bowing to me. I gave them Noda and wished them well and then they were off the dragon they were riding was fast and before long they vanished into the darkness. “We should pair off and get some sleep.” I told the group who nodded and followed me back into the village head house. “None of the rooms were large enough for all of us to sleep in so it was decided that we would sleep by two but then the question became who was sleeping with whom. “We should try to pair off in a way that allows for beat outcome scenarios.” It was Rayna who spoke and everyone nodded. “Okay but how can we know who should be with whom?” Jay asked. “Max should be with Seth as Seth won’t react badly to being awoken in a fright.” Mira was the one to answer and she looked at the twins and said. “No offense to you too at all.” They both smiled and told her it was fine they understood. Max and Seth looked at each other and then back at her and nodded. “Jay and I will sleep in the same room we have had to do that plenty of times so we are used to it.” Cameron said and Jay nodded. “That just leaves the three of us, so who is with whom.” I asked. “Asher and Rayna, Jax and Lily.” She answered without skipping a beat and everyone was shocked. “Wait you serious?” Asher asked shocked and confused. “Rayna is a panther demon so while she might have strong senses they aren’t as strong as yours but she can feel disturbances in the air around here if something has changed in her room. Lily is a fairy her senses are not much stronger than an average human but she has magic that makes up for that somewhat but not enough to keep her totally safe at night. So therefore Jax with his dog demon senses would make the most sense just as Asher and Rayna do.” She answered like it was the most obvious thing. “So you put yourself with me then.” I tried to keep the sneer from my voice. But it pissed me off that she would attempt such a trick. Before I could say more she turned her eyes on me and they where like fire pissed and raging. “Actually I didn’t intend to sleep there is still much to figure out and a meditation would help me. So no I am not paired with you.” Her growl showed how pissed she was. “Mira no you can’t.” Lily tired to speak up but Mira shook her head and walked off. Asher and Jax looked towards me and I dropped my head saying “damn it all” before shaking my head and following her. As I walked off I heard Asher reassure the others I would handle it and that they should all turn in. I grunted annoyed but knew I needed to find her. Which thankfully didn’t take long as she was on the couch in the main room. She ignored my presence and that pissed me off more until always realize that I had a way to handle her while also pissing her off. “Mira I am going to give you two options either you stand up and follow me out or I taking you out by force.” I knew which one she would pick and I had to keep the smug smirk off my face as she answered with a resounding no. “Okay just remember I tried to be nice.” I didn’t try to hide my smug look this time as I grabbed Mira and threw her over my shoulder and then turned and walked out. “What the f**k Ares put me the hell down you bastard.” Mira was shrieking and I was amused by her vocabulary. As I turned the corner I noticed the others standing outside their rooms watching us, but surprisingly no one said anything. I walked into our shared room and tossed her on to one of the beds. “What the hell you ass. You where all pissed off when you thought I was trying to put myself with you in a room and now you drag me here. You need to make up your damn mind.” Mira said once she caught her breath and sat up from the bed. “I did your sleeping here and before you fight me on it know I will drag your sweet ass into my bed and keep you pinned there until morning.” I watched a blush start at her cheeks and spread down to her neck at my words. And then she hissed, “you wouldn’t f*****g dare.” I just raised an eyebrow at her as she stood up. “Oh he would.” Jax answered from the door way his large frame taking up the whole space. “He better.” Jax moved and I saw Lily standing there and she had her arms crossed and glaring at Mira. “Don’t even argue Mira, you need sleep not meditation, and if they mean that you are stuck in bed because Ares has you pinned then so be it and Rayna will say the same thing.” Lily said and I watched Mira deflate and then sighed but nodded. “I will let you get changed.” “I am going to go bath and change and I will be back.” Mira said after seeing her bag next to the bed and grabbing her clothes. I raised an eyebrow but nodded once I saw Lily standing at the door with clothes. I watched her walk out and then I got changed and laid down.
