Who will go
He paced thinking, as the gathering he had called for argued. The smell of incense as well as flowers of different kinds filled the room.
He knew what he had to do but he didn't want to do it. He sat down and the angels being quiet almost immediately, and they went about either kneeling or flying about as his counsel sat.
It will be soon time to pick the person to go into the world, he sighed again.
He had sat there picking the one to go but nobody suited the challenge. He looked down at his angels staring at the blonde angel who was said to be his bodyguard that made him smirk a bit. He was about to call him.
Before he could say something, a voice speaks.
he now appears floating in and taking his seat next to his majesty.
"Don't even think about it."
"I'm just saying it could work." The laughter evident in his voice
"You really wouldn't mind destroying your image?"
"They aren't my perfect image. And no I don't want to destroy them"
He sighs looking now at the Father.
"You know you cannot escape this. We've known since the time we created them that this time would come.It was a risk in creation especially after Lucifer betrayed the throne. You can't go on denying it."
He looked at his Spirit, he didn't want it to be done. He was right. As much as he wanted to send an angel which would not make sense he knew what must be done but maybe one of the Archangels would go.
"Don't even think about it. We both know that they are way too perfect and won't have enough patience to do what is to be done."
What about one of his trusted servants who have already done their best already, he thought
"You know what would happen if one of them went.I have already showed the prophets what must happen. What must done should be done. It is the only way."
He sighed
" I know" he muttered sighing again.
"He knows too. It will be alright. And besides I missed moving around the earth."
"Except when they get you angry." He smiled at each other. He knew what must be done,When it must be done, and how it must be done there was no chance of that changing, he could not change who must do it. He smiled to himself knowingly. Only he could solve this. He stood up moving towards the edge of the first step on the flight of stairs. If what must be done must be done. Maybe he would ask again, the question that bothered yet brought him hope. He looked at the silent council all seated to his left and right. His smile now morphed into a serious look.
"I have asked this question and it seems no one can answer me. But I will ask again." He said in a low tone. Knowing perfectly well that he would be heard. Tears welling in his eyes as he stood and looked down on his humbled servants. As much as he didn't mind destroying the human race. He knew deep down that if he did he would be inconsolable. And that would mean Lucifer would get his hands on them. It was better to get most of them than he getting all of them. He quickly controlled his emotions.
"Who will go?" He asked his voice commanding and stern.
" I will" his voice came forward along with small gasps. He walked to towards his father and stopped at the foot of the the flight of stairs.
" I will go. Send me."
