Feeling the comforting warmth of the blanket Rose hugged the blanket pulling it closer to her. Taking a whip of it scene instantly her eyes swung open, the sheets the blanket nothing carried that fragrance — hers. She wasn’t in her room — she wasn’t at her apartment. Staring at the light blue unfamiliar walls her eyes trailed around the room from the blue coloured walls to how every furniture settled in the sizable but cozy room. The sun beams radiated through the closed curtains lighting the room up, giving it that morning sunlight glow. Gripping the blanket she lifted it off herself slightly just enough for her to see her bare legs. Breathing out she relaxed, she still had on a shirt and her underwear. Rose stared at the ceiling trying to remember yesterday, it didn’t add up first she was talking with Melody then she drunk a bit — too much. Then the kiss, she kissed someone, made out with them — Melody. Slowly turning her head to the left her eyes caught the sight of that blue familiar hair. Turning back to the ceiling, face palming herself she groaned. “Get yourself together you’re not a sixteen year girl. For goodness sake your twenty five!” she hissed. “What wrong with being sixteen, it was rather fun my end.” feeling an arm slip around her bare waist Rose groaned in frustration. Shaking her head the girl didn’t look towards Melody or let her palms leave her face. “I’m supposed to be responsible—” “We didn’t have s*x I stopped you.” Moving her hands at an instant she snapped her head towards Melody. “Stopped me? You must be joking.” the girl giggled but all Melody gave her was a smirk. Her laugh faded staring at the girl confused something clicked in her head. “Wait don’t answer that. Why did you stop me?” she was rather curious. Chuckling Melody released her hold on Rose her question was funny — she didn’t expect it. “If I’m trying to prove a point having s*x with you the first night we’re on a date wouldn’t prove that point, would it?” she spoke. “What point are you trying to prove?” Rose questioned a bit more intrigued. “That I actually consider this something more and not a one night thing.” Rose furrowed her eyebrows, “You want us to be something?” The other girl enthusiastically shook her head a big bright smile on her face. “To be specific I want you to be my girlfriend.” “I—” “We agreed on never locking doors Melody!” A familiar voice to both shouted from the other side of the door, for a moment they almost forgot they had been in a hospital all along. Knowing she wasn’t going to get an answer out of Rose Melody groaned before shouting back. “I must have forgotten!” “I know you are lying!” Melody rolled her eyes, if anything the staff knew her too well. “Why did you lock the damn door if we didn’t have s*x !” Rose hissed jumping out of the girls bed. “I wanted more time with you alone with you no disturbance.” Melody reasoned staring at Rose’s exposed legs. Shaking her head Rose turned around searching for her pants, “You mean watch me sleep without anyone interrupting.” “Yes!” the girl squealed not even denying at all. “Melody!!!” both the two women shouted at the same time. One furiously trying to open the still locked door and the other staring at her in disbelief — the girl had no shame. “I’m getting dressed!” Melody shouted for the nurse behind the door. Taking her gaze back to Rose she smirked, “You know you like me staring at you.” Rose rolled her eyes pulling the other foot out her pants she got on her knees and crawling under the bed. With a confused face Melody went over to the edge of the bed and narrowed her eyes at her, “What are you doing?” “Hiding!” “Why?” “Because I’m in your room and there is a branch of doctors outside waiting to come in, I have no lie for this!” she hissed waving her arms around. With an amused smile Melody looked at Rose like she was a kid playing hide and seek. “I see but under there you aren’t really hiding are you?” she really wasn’t, the space between the bed and the floor wasn’t in small but large favours. Thinking over it she hadn’t really been hidden but exposed. Rose rolled herself out under the bed, “No s**t Sherlock Holmes, now help?” she spoke dusting herself. Getting out of bed Melody led her to her tiny closet, opening it wide she motioned Rose to get in who was a bit reluctant. “You’ll fit, get in or explain yourself.” Stepping past the girl into the closest Rose glared at Melody. “I’m too old for this teen stuff!” she whined. Pushing her in the younger girl smiled, “Yet here you are.” she said taking a photo before closing the door shutting out her protest. “Hello Beth!” Melody greeted with excitement as she swung the door open, a smile pasted on her face she stared at the pissed dark skinned short nurse. Pushing the medicine cart past the door Beth turned back to Melody. “Sit on the bed kid.” and she did as she was told. Beth pulled her left sleeve up placing the sphygmomanometer around her arm she pressed start. Backing away from her she began walking towards the closest. “Let’s get you some clothes!” she cheerfully said her hand on the handle. “No!” the girl shouted as she stared at the nurse. “Why?” “I mean I can get them myself.” Beth smirked as though she knew something she turned towards the closet again. “I insist.” “My heart hurts!” The girl groaned as she fell back on the bed. Immediately leaving the door handle she rushed over to Melody, “Did you have your antiarrhythmic medication?” the girl shook her head yes still keeping up the act. “I should call a doctor then!” she panicked. “Don’t...” Melody whispered, grabbing onto her hand she tighten her grip. “No medication will help I’ve been struck by the gods. I’m in love.” Beth pulled away hissing, “If the gods won’t deal with you, I will.” the lady mumbled packing up her machine, giving Melody one last stink eye she began closing the door. “I’m sorry!” Melody giggled as she left. “You can c*m out now!” the girl shouted staring at the closet. “I’m just going to ignore that.” Rose mumbled as she stepped out. “I came out a really long time ago.” she mumbled thinking over how supportive her mother had been that day, as much as the memory was pleasant it left her sad. Shaking the thoughts out of her head she stared at Melody. “I should go.” she whispered picking up her shoes. “Wait I asked you a question earlier.” Rose looked at the girl over her shoulder a bit confused. “About wha— I should go!” she immediately rushed out the door remembering the question — which left a smiling i***t on the other side.
