The Lost Mafia Princess

Amelia's POV I woke up to the sound of my alarm which wasn't normal as I usually wake up at least thirty minutes earlier. I got up and went downstairs to begin my chores since the orphanage has practically turned me into one of their workers. You must probably be wondering why I am working, well it's because I'm the oldest kid in the orphanage and since nobody wants to adopt me they think I'm worthless and this is the only thing I'm good for. I winced as I bent down to pickup some toys. I forgot to mention I'm also a punching bag and last night's beatings were still very sore. I sighed and continued to clean. Two hours later I was on my way to school. It was about six and I had too leave really early since my school was in the rich side of town and if you're asking how I can attend a school like this I attend on scholarship and this place was basically a second hellhole for me. Being poor in a posh school is really tough and being the youngest in your grade is even worse. I am fifteen years old in my final year of highschool ( I will be sixteen by next semester). I finally arrived in front of the school gates and I could already hear the name calling, this is going to be a long day. It was lunch time and I was walking to an empty table when Clarissa, Jason and their minions,oops, I mean friends😏 surrounded me. So they stared calling me a hobo and stuff like that then one of Clarissa's friend dumped her smoothie on my head. The entire cafeteria burst into laughter and I just ran out of there and locked myself in the restroom for the rest of the break. I left the restroom and made sure I looked presentable before heading to my class. I was in my last class when I was called to the principal's office where she dropped a bombshell on me.
