CHAPTER-6 Lucas has been in the shop for quite some time. The shop employees are attentively listening to the instructions Lucas is giving them. It's the beginning of the month, so everyone needs to be paid. Lucas is sitting at the computer, completing all the calculations. His father, Morris Anderson, will arrive at the shop in two hours. Lucas has very little time. He has to finish the necessary shop work before his father arrives. He is working attentively, but occasionally glancing anxiously towards the shop's front door. He was supposed to meet Billy at the shop today, but Billy was very late. Lukas is getting very angry with Billy. After working for a while, Lukas felt exhausted. He gestured to one of the employees to come closer… Lucas: Look, I'm very hungry. Arrange for my breakfast immediately. Employee: I'll bring it right away, sir. Breakfast was brought for Lukas in a short time. While eating, Lucas looked around and saw that everyone was in the shop except for a girl named Lola. Lucas checked the computer and found the attendance data; Lola hadn't come today. He became very angry. He called an employee and asked… Lucas: Why didn't Lola come today? Do you know anything? Employee: No, sir, I don't know anything. But she is never absent. Her work record is always good. Lucas: Hmm, alright. Go back to your work. Lucas started thinking to himself, this must be Billy's doing. He might have started dating the girl. If that's the case, it will be very bad. Billy cannot start all this without finishing the task given to him. His focus should be solely on the plan Lucas has made. If he somehow violates the conditions, he alone will be responsible. Not Lucas. And as punishment for violating the conditions, he will lose Lola forever. Because Lucas will expose all of Billy's misdeeds to Lola. And Lola will be fired from her job at the store. Once all this happens, Billy will have nothing left to do but regret it. If Billy is a smart boy, hopefully, he won't dare to break the condition Lucas has set. While Lucas was thinking all these things to himself, Billy and Lola entered the store. Seeing the shopping bag in Lola's hand, Lucas did not doubt where the two of them had been all this time. Lola and Billy were now approaching him. Lola: Good morning, sir. I'm very sorry. I was a little late coming to the store. Actually, Billy is a very nice boy. When he heard that I didn't have a dress, he gifted me a new one. That's why I was late; we went to buy it. Fire seemed to be coming out of Lucas's eyes. Lucas roared. Lucas: I've been sitting here working since who knows when, the store is overflowing with customers, and Queen Victoria is out buying clothes with a friend of mine! Don't you have any sense at all? Going to work right now. Seeing Lola's anger, Bill didn't dare to say anything more. He quickly got back to work. Billy was very embarrassed. He hadn't expected Lucas to get so angry. Seeing Lola being spoken to so harshly, Billy felt quite sorry for her, because it was all his fault. So Billy quietly sat down on a chair next to Lucas and started speaking to him... Billy: Ahh! Lucas. Don't be so angry. Actually, it's not Lola's fault; I forced her. Lucas: What did you say!! Shouldn't be angry? Should I laugh instead? Have you forgotten about the agreement or the plan? Billy: Okay, I'm sorry. Besides, I haven't forgotten anything. I fulfill the responsibilities I take on very well. Lucas's jaw tightened. Lucas: Yes, that's what I see. Did I give you the responsibility of buying clothes for Lola? Billy: No, no, that would be... Actually, the girl doesn't have any clothes... so... I thought... Lucas: Shut up, you fool... Billy was a little taken aback. Lucas: What do you know about women? Billy: Meaning? What do I need to know about women? Women are just women, aren't they? Lucas: No, you don't know anything deeply about women. They are deceitful. They can fool you in an instant and drown your head in muddy water. Billy: What are you saying, Lucas? Lucas: Yes, I'm telling you the truth. They have the power to do many things. You can't trust them so easily. Look, let me give you the example of this girl, Lola; she fooled you and got a beautiful dress. Billy immediately became agitated... Billy: Lucas, you've misunderstood Lola. She's not that kind of girl. She's very beautiful and charming. Lucas: I haven't misunderstood Lola; Lola has misled you. She influenced you with sweet talk. Billy: What do you mean? How is that possible? Lucas: Look, Billy, a girl's wardrobe is never empty. It's always crammed with all sorts of clothes. Even then, when they decide to go out somewhere, they can't find anything to wear. Because the clothes they have are old to them. Girls always like to wear new styles of clothes. And in this situation, they feel like they really have no clothes at all. Understand, you fool? Billy: Ha...ha... If that's the case, then what's wrong with it? It can be called a common tendency among girls. Lucas: Hmm, it is a common tendency. But when they emotionally blackmail someone in the hope of getting new clothes, that becomes deception. Do you understand now? Billy: Why are you calling it deception? Besides, I myself forced Lola to buy clothes. Lucas: And that, too, with your uncle's hard-earned money. Billy: Yes, but I did it because I love Lola. I don't see any harm in it. You try loving someone, and you'll also want to give them gifts. My uncle also buys me everything out of love. He has never said that he has suffered a huge loss! Lucas: Haha!! I understand, Lola's love will drown you one day. Billy: That would be good then. (Suddenly, Billy grabbed Lucas's hands), Lucas, you promised me that you would help me in this matter. (Lucas shifted uncomfortably) Lucas: Yes, of course, but you also have to complete the task according to my plan. If you don't do that and just roam around with Lola, then I will fire Lola from her job at the shop. And you will be responsible for that. Do you want an innocent girl to lose her job just because of your negligence? Billy: No, no, absolutely not. Don't worry about anything. I will complete all the tasks according to your instructions. Joya, I will continue working according to the plans you have already made for the future. (Lucas felt quite relieved after hearing Billy's words.) Lucas: Okay, let's stop all this rambling. Let's get to the point. I told you to do everything. Have you done it all? Billy: Yes, you can rest assured. The arrow has hit its target. I hope it will start affecting the lives of your friends very soon. Lucas: Shhh! This matter is very confidential, remember that. Billy looked around nervously... "Hmm, I'll remember. Don't worry, friend." Lucas: Okay, you can go now. I will call you this evening and inform you about the next plan. Go now. My father is about to arrive. After finishing his discussion with Lucas, Billy stood near the counter for a while. He was standing there hoping to see Lola one more time. He just wanted to see the girl. Lola suddenly came from behind and startled him. Billy was very scared. But seeing Lola, he smiled and asked: Billy: Did you feel very bad? Lola: Why? Billy: No, I mean, my friend is a bit short-tempered. Lola: No, no, I didn't mind anything. Bosses are usually like that. I should have come to work on time. This mistake won't happen again. (Lola smiled sweetly.) Billy: You're such a good girl; you took the burden of my mistake onto yourself. Lola: I had to do at least this much since you gifted me such a beautiful red dress. Billy: Ahh! How beautifully you deceive… Ahh! I mean… how beautifully you speak! Sorry, I don't know what I'm saying. (Lola is now a little annoyed) Lola: Okay, okay, it's alright. (Lucas's harsh voice was heard shouting from a distance) “Billyyyyyyy……what's going on…!” Billy didn't delay another moment. He held the shop's front door with one hand and waved goodbye to Lola with the other. Lola also waved goodbye slightly. And thought to herself… “Well, I'm finally rid of this clingy Romeo.”
