"So, Miss Jankowski, you say your period started this morning, but the pregnancy test is very much positive... right?" The doctor is looking at me.
I nod. "Well, I started bleeding, not very much so far though, but it never is on the first day."
"Let's see what the bloodwork says about your hCG levels, the nurse should have them done soon. Do you have reason to believe that you could be pregnant?" The doctor pushes his glasses back on his nose.
I feel my cheeks go warm as I glance at Austin, who is biting his lip, trying to hide the grin emerging on his lips. "Yeah... there is a fair chance I could be that."
Austin lets out a small choked-up laugh, and I glare at him. The doctor just nods. "Okay, let's see what the bloodwork says then."
"Here you go, doctor." The nurse says
