Chapter 22: After
Ember:
Ember didn’t look away the entire time, watching every action of her mate took against the men. She knew that if she showed her disgust or dislike, the pack members would notice. They would think that she was weak and this whole thing would have been for nothing. Damien was trying to do their dominance over the pack members. She needed to do the same. She would show them her strength as their Luna. So no would dare raise a hand against her again. They would fear her, they would respect her.
After it all over, the bodies were taken away. They weren’t to be buried inside the pack borders; they weren’t to be buried at all. Damien wouldn’t let their souls rest by returning to the Moon Goddess. Their punishment would be for their souls to wander the earth forever.
