Her words echoing in my head as I watch her walk away for me. This has happened too many times already, her turning her back and walking away. I hate that image and every time she does that, piece of my heart leaves with her. If she keeps that up, eventually I will be just as heartless as she pictures me to be.
I’m not going to let her leave. Not this time. I’ll tie her to me, if necessary, but she is not getting away again.
I start to move and when I get past her, I turn and throw her small frame over my shoulder with her legs hanging in front of me and her upper body behind my back.
Her screeching yelp woke half of the hospital probably, but I just don’t care at this point. My mind is set on getting her somewhere I can show her what I want us to be.
