David waited until he hadn’t heard movement for a few minutes before checking on them. He found both of them curled up on his bed sleeping. She still hadn’t pulled the covers down, so he gently laid a blanket over them both.
He quietly backed out of the room and headed back downstairs to make a few calls. First, though, he needed to move her car. She’d laid her keys on top of the diaper bag, and he grabbed them before opening the garage.
There was more to this story, he thought, as he pulled her car in the garage next to his. Looking through the car quickly, he grabbed anything he thought they might need and pulled the car seat out just in case.
For extra security, he threw a car tarp over it as well. That way, if anyone was nosy enough to look in the garage, they still wouldn’t see
