Kissing Chloe in the kitchen yesterday hadn’t been his intention. He’d wanted to, for a long time, but he hadn’t meant to do it out of frustration.
The kiss though, it had left him weak. He’d barely managed to stop it and step away, and it had taken him what felt like an hour to even settle his breathing and racing heart. Chloe hadn’t pushed him away though and that made him smile.
If she thought she could push him out of her life now, she was mistaken. He wasn’t going to make her, but he was damn sure going to try to convince her that they were what he wanted and that she needed to stay.
He’d arranged for Mike and Daniel and their wives to meet them all for dinner tonight at the diner. It was a bit of a drive, so they were doing an early dinner to keep from having to drive home too
