Life in the valley was way different than the packhouse. We had no servants and had to do all the work ourselves; right from cooking to cleaning. These mundane tasks kept me busy through the day. ‘
It was fun to pluck the fresh vegetables early in the morning with Aunt Athena. Cedric helped us whole heartedly; at least he tried to. He was used to waging wars and formulating strategies; as such he had no experience in doing household works. This gave us several opportunities to tease and mock him. This kept the atmosphere lively.
