All my life, I had seen people plot, betray and kill each other for power and position. So, I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that Cedric really wanted to go and live in a secluded place just to be with me.
He ordered everyone around making preparations and getting the packing done. I didn’t do much apart from getting dressed. I just wanted to give him a chance to change his mind. I kept expecting him to come up to me and give me a reason for staying back but that never happened. By the time the sun had reached the peak of the sky, we were all set to leave.
