The Guilt

The hissing sound of the oil in the pan drew his attention.He has been pre-occupied for a long time by his train of thoughts.He knew it was not right.They were his parents . It was too immature of him to do so.His anger was only the result of his loneliness. 48 years of his life and he still has not found his love.He always believed in those "textbook love",but could never find it.He tried several times, but all he got was rejection. He even was not sure how long would it take to find his love.Moreover no progress at his monotonous work.He was quite frustrated with his work life.People at work were merciless towards him.He was the butt of all jokes and many cruel rumours has been spread about his personal life and how he was a d**g addict. He never had the courage to stand up to them and clarify that he was as clean and as innocent as a child.He sometimes resorted to drinking when he was not beong able to handle the pressure of his life.Other than that he never touched ciggarettes,drugs and even feared caffeine and those energy drinks.Since his joining day he had never taken a leave.He was sincere to his work but nothing ever fell into right place. Now even his parents are nagging him.They had done enough for him and he realized it.He always respected them.However his outbursts towards them was quite frequent.He never liked them when they nag about his singlehood or his standstill work life.Moreover he could not even fulfil their dreams.They have always wished to have go to a spiritual journey but his meagre incomedid not allow them to.He was sad and angry.But his actions were not justified.Today he crossed the bars.Now he could not even apologize.He thought to cry but as if his eyes have been dried out by the rigorous course of life. He thought to make up for it.He took the plate fulll of scrambled eggs and went upstairs.His legs trembled but he had made up his mind.He advanced towards their room.It was completely silent.He could only hear his own steps. His heart was only pumping guilt in his body.He could not even face them.He opened the door.He just wished for a miracle so that whatever happened just gets deleted from his life.But he knew it could not happen.He opened the door and his socks got immediately soaked in blood.His father was lying on the floor with his skull cracked open.His mother on the bed with a disfigured face and broken skull.There was blood everywhere.He kept the eggs on the table and sat on the bed .He was looking at the bat which he used to destroy his life .He picked it up and stared at it.A creepy yet fulfilling smile appeared on his face.
