I need some time

The werewolf pushes Jessica's face below the water of the stream, she opens her eyes and can see the werewolf growling at her, but the water in her ears is blocking the sound. She struggles to hold her breath underwater, she begins to drown and starts swallowing water. She feels as though she wants to pass out. Suddenly the werewolf is attacked by another werewolf, "It's Roger she thinks to herself." She lifts herself up and gasps for air as she starts coughing uncontrollably. A battle erupts between Roger, who is in werewolf form, and the two werewolves, who attack at the same time swiping at Roger with their claws. They rip pieces of flesh from his chest and Roger strikes back clawing at their faces. One of the werewolves spot Jessica and tries to rush at her but Roger catches him in the nick of time, grabbing him by the back of the head into the battle.

Jessica has moved behind a tree for safety, she witnesses the 3 monsters tare at each other with brutal ferociousness. The stream has turned red with blood. Jessica thinks to herself is there any humanity within Roger when he turns into a werewolf? "Will he hurt me one day, even if it's by accident." The battle rages on in the stream, the werewolves start to get the upper hand and one of them is right on Roger's back and bites into his shoulder. Roger lets out a painful roar and he goes down on his knee, the other werewolf swipes his claw across Roger's face sending him flying to the ground, splashing into the bloodred stream. One of the werewolves walks over to finish him off, he thinks it's over and lets a celebratory howl, but Roger grabs a tree branch that's laying close by and pushes the pointed end into his chest, piercing his heart. The werewolf goes down on his knees as the blood gushes from his wound. Roger stands over him and pushes the stick even further, it goes through him bursting out his back. The other werewolf looks on in surprise, he roars at Roger and charges at him, they grab hold of each other and they start biting at each other's necks, their teeth narrowly missing each other's throats. Roger tackles the werewolf to the ground and pushes his head under the water, the werewolf struggles to break free and starts to swallow water, after a while, it stops struggling and its body goes limp.

Jessica sees the limp body of one werewolf and the impaled body of the other, thinking the battle is over she comes out from behind the tree she was hiding. Roger is still on top of the drowned werewolf, he lets out a loud roar and grabs the dead werewolf and digs his teeth into the neck of the werewolf, and shakes his head, he rips a large piece of flesh from the werewolf and sends blood gushing from the wound engulfing his face. Jessica looks on in horror as the monster she loves tears the dead werewolf apart and it seems as though he is loving it. Roger turns his attention to Jessica and walks over to her, still in his werewolf form, and growls at her Jessica can't hide the fear on her face and turns to run. Roger quickly turns into his human form. "Jessica wait, Jessica!" Roger runs to stop her and grabs her by the arm and looks at her. "Jessica, it's me." Roger pulls her in for a hug and Jessica breaks down into tears, weeping."

The drive back home is silent, not a word spoken between the two of them. Roger walks Jessica up to her penthouse, they get to the door and Roger hugs her once more. "Do you want me to stay the night?" Jessica looks up at him with tears in her eyes "No, you know what, I'm going to need some time, this is all too much for me." "Jessica, you know I had no choice, those werewolves would have killed us both." "I know Roger, you saved my life, believe me, I love you, but I'm not sure if I'm strong enough for this life, please Roger just go." Roger holds her hands and kisses them "Jessica you are the strongest woman I have ever met, we can make this work, I promise you, just give me a chance." "Roger please don't make this harder than it already is, please I beg you let me go." The tears are pouring down both their faces as Jessica pulls her hands away from Roger, she steps back into her apartment and closes the door as Roger looks on, with tears in his eyes he walks away. Jessica goes to sit in a corner of her bedroom she curls herself into a ball and weeps uncontrollably.
