It's a hot and humid evening in the city, on the roof of the tallest building there is a pack of werewolves standing in a circle, and 2 werewolves engaged in a furious battle. They tear at each other with their razor-sharp canines. One of the werewolves is exhausted and breathing heavily. The one werewolf swipes his claws at the exhausted werewolf across his face producing sending his eyeball flying. He steps back holding his face as blood squirts out of the hole where his eye used to be. The other werewolf gives one more swipe, his claws slice the other werewolf's throat. It falls down onto his knees. The other werewolf walks up to it and stands over it growling menacingly. The standing werewolf grabs the other's head and starts to pull and shake furiously until eventually the head get's ripped from its body. The werewolf pack goes quiet as the werewolf with a head in its hands lets out a loud roar, the head gets tossed aside and the victorious werewolf takes its human shape, it's Roger. Roger looks over at Aiden who is standing across him in his human form, he has a sadistic smile on his face. Roger transforms back into a werewolf and walks over to Aiden, Aiden transforms into a werewolf and they walk right up to each other, their heads bumping into each other and they are both growling at each other. The other Werewolves move in to defend Aiden, Roger backs down and transform's back into his human form and so does Aiden. "Wow, you are on a roll Roger, its been 3 months and you've been killing my werewolf brothers like it's nothing, I don't even have to call you, you just show up!" "The quicker I kill them all, the quicker I get to you." "Hey I'm not the reason the little lamb dumped you, she just saw what I see in you, you are a killer, you love it! no matter how hard you try to hide it, it shows in the heat of battle and that woman caught a glimpse of it and it scared her." Roger transforms back into human form and jumps from the rooftop of the building onto another one and disappears into the darkness of the night.
It's a sunny day and Jessica is walking down the city streets and doing some window shopping. It's been 3 months since she left Roger but she still thinks that she sees him, wherever she goes. She is looking through the display window of a clothing store and she sees a reflection of Roger standing across the street. Jessica turns around to look, but there's no one. Jessica walks over to a food truck "Hi can I have a steak sandwich and a coffee please, 2 sugars." The vendor prepares her order, and Jessica looks on as the man grills the steak and onions. Suddenly she hears someone calling out her name. "Jessica, surprise running into you this side of town." "Detective Silverman, are you following me?" "I actually live close by and I'm just here getting some lunch, I do my best detecting on a full stomach, can I have a steak sandwich and a coffee, 2 sugars." Jessica looks at him with surprise, he seems less robotic and almost charming. The Vendor hands both their orders to them, Detective Silverman looks at Jessica and smiles "You have good taste." Jessica can't help but c***k a smile as well. They both walk over to a place with tables and chairs to finish their meal. " Can I sit with you?" Jessica feels a bit awkward but she signals him to have a seat.
there is an awkward silence as they eat their sandwiches, Jessica breaks the silence "So have you found any new lead's in the case?" "Not yet but, I have a direction at least, we trying to locate the man I showed you in the picture." Jessica regrets asking him about the case, the atmosphere gets a bit tense again. Detective Silverman picks up on the tense vibe. "You have nothing to worry about, you're not a suspect, I don't picture you ripping a man to shreds with your bare hands." Detective Silverman is trying his best to lighten the mood again as he sips on his coffee. " So Jessica, I know you are an executive at a large company here in Cape Town and I know you like steak sandwiches, what else is there to learn about you?" Detective Silverman's infectious smile breaks down her defenses and she starts to relax. " Well I was not born here, I am originally from London and moved here when I started working at the company and yes I love steak sandwiches, what about you?" "Born and bred Cape Town boy from the Winelands up in Stellenbosch, have you ever been?" No, but It's something I always meant to do but never get around to." "You should, it's a beautiful place during the summer, you should go wine tasting." " I think I should, have you always wanted to be a policeman?" Detective Silverman laughs out loud." "that is such a cliche question, but it gets a cliche answer, yes ever since I can remember I wanted to be in law enforcement, I'm an orphan. I lost my parents at a very young age to a home invasion, I don't really remember them or the event, but I think that moment instilled this need to protect people in me." Jessica grows quiet "I am so sorry to hear that." "No it's fine, like I said, I don't remember any details of the incident, I was maybe 4 or 5 when it happened." Detective Silverman's phone ring's its Frank. "I need to go, duty calls, but this was nice, we should do it again." "Yes, it was Detective.." Detective Silverman interrupts her "You can call me Jason."
