Rose's scream was silent, trapped in her throat by some unseen force. She stumbled backward, her twisted hands grasping for something, anything, to hold onto. But there was nothing. She was alone, adrift in a sea of madness. The light grew brighter, more intense, until Rose felt like she was being consumed by its power. She was a tiny, insignificant speck, a mere mortal caught in the grip of something ancient and evil. And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, everything stopped. The light vanished, plunging Rose into darkness. The silence was oppressive, a heavy blanket that suffocated her. Rose waited, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that something was coming, something that would change her forever. The darkness began to stir, to take shape. Rose felt a presence around her, a malevolent force that seemed to seep into her very pores. She tried to scream, but her voice was frozen in her throat. She was paralyzed with fear, unable to move or speak. And then, the presence spoke. Its voice was low and raspy, like the rustling of dry leaves. "Welcome, Rose," it said. "I have been waiting for you..."The voice seemed to come from all around her, echoing off the walls and reverberating through her very being. Rose felt a chill run down her spine as she realized she was completely at the mercy of this malevolent force. "Who are you?" she tried to ask, but her voice was barely a whisper. The presence laughed, a low, menacing sound that seemed to shake the foundations of the room. "You'll find out soon enough," it said. "But for now, let's just say that I'm someone who's been waiting a very long time for you." Rose's mind was racing with questions, but before she could ask any of them, the presence spoke again. "You see, Rose, you have something that belongs to me. Something that I've been searching for for a very long time." Rose's heart was pounding in her chest as she realized what the presence was talking about. "What do you want?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady. The presence laughed again, the sound sending shivers down Rose's spine. "Oh, I think you know exactly what I want," it said. "And I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get it." Suddenly, the room was filled with a blinding light, and Rose felt herself being lifted off the ground. She was suspended in mid-air, unable to move or speak, as the presence began to laugh again...The laughter grew louder, more maniacal, until Rose felt like she was being consumed by its madness. With a surge of adrenaline, Rose summoned every last ounce of strength, determined to break free from the presence's grasp. She strained against its hold, her muscles screaming in protest...
