“I…I…I-” The doctor started to stammer as he studied my sudden change in expression.   “Why do we need an army? Is this to destroy the humans again?” I narrowed my face at the doctor who gulped hard as a sudden look of guilt compelled him.   “Apologies my queen I would never suggest something you’re uncomfortable with” He immediately apologised and I felt myself start to calm down.   “Any more changes you might like to share?” I questioned not wanting to stay another second in the lab as it smelled a lot like rotten eggs.   “Why does this place smell so bad?” I questioned myself in a low grumble that sounded so much like a whisper.   “My queen, your body cells generate a terrible amount of energy with time, and the release of this energy can cause a massive destruction…it’s radiates a wave higher in frequency than any we’ve ever come across, this mass energy can be triggered for release if you panic or in a deep distress, your cells can produce this energy in a matter of minutes depending on your level of dopamine, an neurotransmitter in the brain” The doctor calmly and carefully explained.   “Is there a way to control this energy?” I asked recalling the damage I had caused on the two occasional times I had released the same energy I was guessing the doctor was talking about.   “I’m afraid you can only stop it from growing and gathering, but if it manage to do that…you can’t stop it from wanting to escape…is like filling a balloon up with water, eventually it’ll burst; the only thing we can do right now is not to add more water into the balloon…for now these are all the things I’ve noticed…I’ll keep studying to know the extent of your power and aspects” the doctor assured and I heaved a heavy sigh of relief.   “Thank you-   “For now, all you need to do is not get very mad, don’t panic and be in a calm environment always, that way your body will relax” Kuba advised and I thank him earnestly before rushing out of his lab with Hero behind me, I found a restroom immediately as I had been suppressing the urge to throw up all over the place because of the pungent smell.   “Are you okay?” Hero questioned as he softly patted my back, allowing me to freely release the contents of my stomach.   “That place reek” I commented and Hero chuckled softly as he watched me rinse my mouth, then I suddenly got weak and felt the urge to lie down.   “I might need to catch some sleep” I declared and  Hero shrugged.   “I’ll just got to the children’s section to see the younger Ghafils” The moment Hero mentioned the younger Ghafils, my eyes went down to my growing bump, I started to wonder what my kid would look like, I wondered if he was gonna be like me or Hero, I started to imagine a normal life with him in it. “Claire? Are you okay?” Hero looked worried as he managed to snap me from my short trance.   “Sorry, was a little distracted…do you think I can visit the nursery too” I questioned Hero who was quite surprised by my request but was pretty happy about it. Soon we were heading down another hallway entirely and after several minutes, we came to the end of the hallway where Barb stood gallantly like a security guard.   “I knew you’d be here” Barb smiled and I frowned.   “How did you know that, I haven’t even seen you today at all Barb, if you were human I would have asked if you had a boyfriend; you hardly have time for me Claire” I feigned annoyance.   “You know I do not, I have been busy running errands for the royal family” Barb defended herself and I heaved a heavy sigh.   “This way please?” Barb beckoned leading me into the kids section cube, like every kids arena, it was pretty noisy filled with pretty looking Green demons that I wanted to spend my entire day playing with.   “They are so cute” I cooed staring adoringly at the small creatures; two came up to me and made a courtesy that made me smile.   “Hi” I greeted in Ghafilan and they flashed me a pretty smile.   “Why aren’t they talking back?” I asked Hero who seem to be studying me instead of the kids. “It takes time, It takes time for the younger Ghafils to talk…five years at most” My eyes widened in bewilderment as I quickly glanced back to the little Ghafils around, most were as old like an average four year old human boy, some were toddlers, some were infants but all in general, they were all children, I was still lost in my thoughts staring at the small Ghafils when a Ghafil raced to us completely breathless.   “Sire” He panted trying to find his voice.   “Speak” Hero commanded.   “They are here, we’ve picked movement of men in the surrounding mountains and they have heavy arms” I saw immediate fear and worry flashed on Hero’s face and I knew he was calculating already.   “If they play defence we play along, if they play offensive…we retaliate” I reminded Hero putting a hand on his shoulder trying to soothe him, I knew he cared greatly for his Rhafils but some decisions can be pretty hard.   “No matter what, you cannot let then have access to the pathway the coming Ghafils are taking, raise our defences, activate the shield, but open the section of the hidden pathway to allow incoming Rhafils to have access, once you raise the shield, maximum security should be on the only pathway opened” Hero gave instructions and the Ghafil scampered away in so much worry that I could see the his tail peeping out of his cloak as he walked off, I sighed and cracked my knuckles, ready for action.   “They want you” Hero said out of the blue.   “What?” I questioned not too sure I get what he was implying by his statement.     “You can’t leave here, they’ll take you” Hero had a panicked look on his face at the thought and it made me smile.   “Hey, look at me” I urged cupping his cheeks and raising his head to meet his eyes.   “Everything is gonna be fine, nothing is gonna happen to me, or our baby” He seems to be assured by that, his smile lit up so bright that I couldn’t help but smashed my lips to his kissing him passionately but our attention was drawn by the head of security who appeared to be in pressing need of Hero’s attention.   “You should go” I told Hero after releasing him and he gave me a small smile before joining the security group.   “Barb, lead her to her special quarters” Hero instructed and Barb nodded.   “This way” Barb gestured and I sighed following Barb to the first room I was put in, everything was plain white, though it was just a bed, a couch and a glass table in a spacious space, from the huge glass window I could see few military combat tanks from a far, they looked like they were assembling at the entrance of the camp.   “What are they doing Barb?” I got curious.   “They are passing an announcement for everyone in the camp to surrender and bring you forward” The news made me scoffed.   “They said they will raise fire if there’s no response from our side” Barb added and I laughed hysterically feeling an intense anger welling up inside me especially after the first few booms, I saw a field shield reflected as fires were rained on the camp, the invincible barrier was only noticeable after the fire touched it. “How long can that hold?” I questioned Barb.   “A couple of hours…the shield will start to weaken-   “If that happens-   “Everyone in the camp will be in danger” Barb clarified my fears.   “I don’t think I can wait for that to happen” I declared certainly. --------
