Killer Loose
Yesterday afternoon, in a shootout at the Main Greyhound Bus Terminal downtown, an undercover law enforcement officer shot and killed a recently paroled felon, Siobhan Williams. Authorities suggest the shooting involved some kind of an interrupted drug deal, the dealer apparently resisting arrest by drawing a weapon. A few minutes later, in the ensuing hubbub in the crowded terminal corridor, the undercover officer himself was fatally shot by an unknown assailant. The gun was recovered at the scene of the two fatal shootings. But the shooter remains at large, with no clues to his identity.
