It was only two hours after leaving the Red Moon pack lands that fatigue rolled over Charlie in a way she couldn’t ignore. After an awful sleep the night before and the events of the day, she was barely managing to stay awake on the dark road. The occasional headlights from other cars woke her up for a few moments but the drowsiness was soon back, so she turned off at the next dirt track, allowing her fogging mind a break. That’s how she ended up in the clearing. Down the track, she had caught wind of some old scents of humans and followed them to find the secret spot in the woods. Campers do know the best locations. Though Charlie could’ve slept uncomfortably in the car, she chose to shift and sleep under the night sky. In her wolf form, she would be more alert to unwelcomed visitors,
