Her eyes hurt as she peeled them open, the glare of the mid-morning sun piercing her eyelids and refusing her the hours of rest she still need. Charlie grumbled but slowly lifted her head and rolled out her stiff muscles, pleasantly surprised that her body wasn’t too bad after the fight earlier and sleeping on the floor. She always made sure to be in her wolf form when sleeping outside for this exact reason, the extra padding and fur made curling up as cosy and warm as any human bed.
