It was going to be one of those nights. Sleep was evading Jay, slipping through his fingers each time he relaxed into the abyss of his mind. He was agitated, tossing and turning in the bedding, no position feeling any more comfortable than the last. He couldn’t quite put his finger on what was wrong, but something was. A frustrated growl rippled across his lips, and he threw off the covers, jumping to his feet to pace the area of the room. It was large, but with Jay’s long strides and speed to match his distress, it felt small to the Alpha.
