“What did you get up to last night with Finn?” Charlie asked, wiggling her eyebrows. It was one of the brief moments of solace in an otherwise cruel day where Olivia was still inside a shop paying for various items whilst Serena and Charlie were waiting outside.
“We just talked.” The dusty pink that coloured Serena’s cheeks almost made her freckles disappear and she nudged into her snickering friend. “Seriously Charlie! And he was so lovely. He just listened to everything.” The moony smile was back, and Charlie’s heart soared for her friend. “I feel like I could tell him anything and he would still look at me like I’m perfect.”
Charlie beamed at her and gave Serena’s hand a tight squeeze, “I’m so happy for you.”
