Finn and Serena were sat on a blanket amongst some wildflowers, happily chatting away and laughing together as they begun to find out who their mate was. Alpha Jayden had been ecstatic to hear the news that his Beta had a mate and wanted to send out an announcement straight away, but Finn held him off, wanting to give Serena some time to adjust first. Just getting her to sit and have a relaxed afternoon talking had been difficult but he had seen the sparkle of joy in her warm amber eyes, he just didn’t understand the reason behind her conflicted expression. Fortunately, Charlie had been willing to stay close by so Serena agreed, and Finn was relieved to see his mate stopped sending glances in her direction after an hour or so.
