Panic

Week 1:         “What going on now?”     “Where are we?”     “Who are those people?”     “They are just standing there.”     “Are they trying to get on the plane?”     Just like before, the people were starting to panic as they moved as far as they could away from the people who were outside. Hansel helped me up as we both watched what the strange people were doing.    “Does that guy over there have orange eyes?” He asked as he pointed to who he was talking about.     I shrugged. “I don’t know. I can’t really see them because of that spotlight.”     We watched as a few people brought over what looked like a staircase to the side of the plane. Some people started screaming, and others were cussing. Jake and a few others grabbed things that could be used for weapons. Hansel went to go join them, but I grabbed his arm.     “No, don’t. I have a bad feeling about this, we shouldn’t attack them until we what what’s going on. Please stay in here with me.” I begged looking back to the window.     I noticed one of them standing really close to the plane, and I could slightly make him out. He had shaggy black hair and was too handsome, like some of the models I had worked with, but what caught my attention was his eyes. They were silver, there was no doubt about it, and when he wasn’t in direct light they lightly glowed. I could barely make out geometric shapes and twists tattoo work sprawled across his neck and right arm. There was no mistaking what I saw, and what went through my head was something I never thought I would say.     “They’re aliens…”     Hansel’s head snapped over in my direction. “What are you talking about, Milady?”     “Look.” I pointed to the few that started to get closer to the plane. “All of their eyes glow in the dark, and that one has pink eyes.”     He shrugged. “Could be contacts, and we have something more pressing to worry about. They’re about to board the plane.”     The emergency exit door was ripped open like it was a can of sardines instantly causing everyone to start to panic. No one really knew what to do, besides avoid the people that were getting on. There was eight of them, and more were coming behind them.     The intruders began to grab and whisk people off the plane with expert precision, like a tactical team. Some were unsure whether or not to trust them, some even went willingly. I peaked out from the attendant’s cabin and saw Jake swinging at one of them. He almost connected when another intruder pulled out something and shot it at him. It was a taser, and Jake dropped down to the floor like a rock. It took two of them to drag him out. I glanced over to the back and saw Beth with two little girls hiding behind her and four of the intruders stalking towards them.             Without thinking I ran towards them. I could hear Hansel calling for me from behind, but I wasn’t going to stop. I climbed over a row of seats to get a straight shot to them. Beth saw me coming and let out a sigh of relief, and then a look of horror washed over her features.             I felt an arm wrap around my waist, yanking me backwards off my feet. I started thrashing and clawing at the person’s tattooed arm to get away, but whoever it was holding me was physically stronger.             “Get off me! Beth!” I growled, being pulled towards the opening.             I saw Hansel trying to make his way to me, but he too was ambushed by three of them. Beth was struggling with one to keep the girls behind her. Heather prayed as she was quietly escorted out behind her. Everything was in chaos and disorder.             I tried reaching for my captors face, but being held like this made it nearly impossible to even get close. I yelled and began smashing my hands into the guys’ gloved wrist. Everyone was being taken into a building that literally looked like it pulsed with light. All around the native people stared and whispered to each other like we were a commodity, which I was guessing was true.             I gave up for the moment, tired at all my useless struggling. This was something I was not going to win, the guy who had me was too strong and all of us were greatly outnumbered.             Entering the building itself was weird. As I was moved through the doorway I felt like air was blown on my body from all angles. The person guided me through the halls and to a massive white room where the other passengers were being taken. I watched them gently prop up Jake’s unconscious body against the wall with the others who had resisted with violence, while everyone else was herded to the middle with the abductors placed all around.             The man behind me gently whispered something next to my ear in his language before releasing me and taking a step back. Instantly, I spun around to see who it was and froze. It was the person from before that had been watching me from outside the plane, the tattooed man with the silver eyes. “I can walk without you having to force me.” I hissed.             His model-like face was almost purely expressionless. He put his hands up defensively, catching me off guard, so I backed down for now. After he nodded his surrender he moved away, I looked over and saw Hansel with a crying Beth in tow. There were no signs of the girls though. As soon as he saw me Hansel smiled and pulled the girl with him.             “What is this place?” Beth mumbled as she took in her surroundings.             Hansel shook his head. “I have no idea, but I have a strange feeling were not anywhere we can think of.”             I took a deep breath and glanced back over to the one that had taken me off the plane. He was whispering to another with orange eyes and tattoo work that looked like strange tribal work. That guy was beautiful too, and from what I was starting to realize was they all were. All of the abductors had inhumanly colored eyes and a few had intricate massive tattoo’s of different variations while others had none, and were too beautiful.             My abductor seemed to notice my staring and his silver met my teal. A wave of pure anxiety washed over me like goose bumps, I had to take a deep breath and look away. His attractive appearance was almost upsetting.             “What’s wrong, Milady?” Hansel asked as he examined my body language.             I refused to meet his eyes. “It’s nothing.”             Beth sobbed harder as several more of them came in the room. They huddled together like sheep in a rainstorm, trying to get as far away as possible. I rubbed Beth’s back, trying to calm her down.             The others started to get restless and started yelling at their assailants. Threatening to attack if they got any closer, but the abductors didn’t seem to care. They just continued to watch and make sure no one tried to leave the room. Violence against whoever these people are was not the answer, Jake and the few others have already proven that.             One tried to make a break for the door, but was stopped by two of the natives. I didn’t want anyone else to try, but they weren’t going to listen to me while they we’re stressed out like this.             Suddenly one of the abductors was pushed into the air by the floor raising beneath him. All watched as the man began to talk in their language, it was strange but pleasant to the ears. As soon as he was done the others started moving, making the passengers nervous. All the abductors pulled out a strange looking necklace and slowly moved towards the crowd.             When a few started to panic, the man on the raised floor cleared his throat to catch their attentions again. He pointed to the wall as pictures appeared.             One was of a hand with the necklaces, the next was of another taking it from the hand, and then putting it around their necks. The last picture was a person that looked like they were talking with question marks around them, and then next to them was a person with the necklace on and no question marks.             I couldn’t help but laugh a little. They were using pictures to get us to see what they want, very human like.             The man in the air made a gesture that resembled pleading, and slowly the aliens started walking towards us again. I was surprised, no one tried to attack them as they took the jewelry. Then I swallowed hard as the silver eyed man stepped close to me. In his now gloveless hand wasn’t a necklace, but a ring. A fairly large beautiful black metal band that had a few diamonds and an etching of what looked like a crest of some kind in the center of the stones. It was the most stunning thing I had ever seen before.             I shook my head and kept my voice low so only he would hear. “I can’t take this from you. Plus, I was told to never accept things from strangers.”             He rolled his eyes as he grabbed my hand. I felt pleasantly electrocuted at his skin contact. It was like a wave of pure pleasure ran through my bones, relaxing my muscles, and making my heart leap into my throat. I whimpered a little, trying to keep control of myself, wondering if he felt the same thing I was experiencing. I watched him look back up at me with a shocked expression, his mouth slightly gaped open as if he was in awe. Then he took a deep breath and began trying to see which finger to put the ring on. It slipped on perfectly to the right-hand ring finger with a little bit of looseness so it was comfortable. He smiled down at me like he knew something I didn’t. I was too mesmerized by the ring to see the picture that showed up on all the walls. Which was a thumbs up signal.             Some said yes, and some just nodded. I finally looked up to see his amused face. I never even realized that Hansel was watching attentively to my left. The silver eyed man was obviously holding something back and looked like he was about to explode if he couldn’t tell anyone.             “Can you understand me now?”             All around people gasped or cried out in shock as they were able to understand the abductors. I couldn’t hold back the smile that appeared on my face at the sound of his English. It was sultry and confident with a strange, but alluring accent to go with it. It made my insides melt, in the good way.             “I can.” I whispered, slightly too stunned to push my voice to its full volume. “Wait…did you know what I was saying the whole time?”             His smile gave him away. He had understood and all of the others since the very beginning. Feeling slightly embarrassed for acting like that in front of someone who comprehends what was happening, I looked down to the ground.             “Your fine, we don’t want any violence. So, please don’t be afraid of us, luvana.” He said as he lifted my chin with his hand, trying to get me to look him in the eyes.             “Get your hand off her!”             It was Hansel, and he didn’t look happy in the least. He reached forward and pushed the silver eyed being away from me.             I put my hand on his chest to try and keep him away. “Stop it, Hansel. All he was doing was telling me to not be afraid. He wasn’t hurting me.”             Hansel shook his head as he pointed to the man. “That’s the guy that grabbed you in the plane, and now you’re just going to let him touch you again?”             “They are trying to be friendly after what they did. It’s obvious that they had no other way of letting us in on what they were doing. Just listen to them for a moment.” I said, glanced back to the guy. “Right? You’re not going to like, dissect us or anything?”             He faintly smiled as he put his hands up defensively, but his posture was getting lazy. “She is right you know. We didn’t know how else to get you in the building without hurting yourselves or us. My name is Reye Kit Aloysius by the way, Kit is fine. I’m 2nd Lieutenant of the starship Oran and the youngest son of Chief Ito of the Reye Tribe.”             I smiled, letting my hand fall from Hansel’s chest. “I’m Milady Fairchild, from Florida, and this is Hansel Gill. He’s a doctor.”             “A doctor?” Kit asked as he took a step to the side to get away from him. “Isn’t that nice.”             Hansel went for him again, but I stopped him. “Will you tell me where we are?”             “Sure, luvana. You are on the planet Kaja, and currently in the dead center of all four provinces. Which we call Donner Circle, right now you are at the starship dock here in the outskirts of the Circle City.” Kit said as he watched my face for the reaction.             For a moment, I couldn’t think about anything until he reached out and grazed the palm of my hand to pulling me back to reality. I shook my head free of the haze in my mind and put a hand to my head.             “You’re saying that we’re on a different planet? Not Earth? Right?” I asked without looking at him.             He slowly nodded. “Yeah, you are definitely not on Earth anymore. There was an issue and my Fleet Captain decided to…take your plane with us.”             “Seriously?” Hansel grunted as he tossed his hands up. “You abducted us!”             Kit nodded. “It wasn’t my call. The other Kajians are just as confused about why the Captain did what he did.”             I sighed. “I don’t feel so good.”             “Do you need to sit down?” Hansel asked as he moved closer.             Both were confused as all the other women began swaying on their feet and dropping to the floor. Some began to cry as they put their hands to their heads, and others were beginning to lose consciousness.             “What the hell is happening to them?” Hansel said as he moved to help a teenage girl who was about to fall to the floor.             Kit pulled me onto his lap so he could stand up with me cradled in his arms. “Code 8! We need to get them to the healers immediately!”             The others began grabbing the woman and following Kit while the human men screamed and tried to follow. My vision was starting to get fuzzy as I heard the other’s cries behind me, but Kit was moving so fast I could hardly make anything out.             “What wrong with us?” I managed to get out as he cradled my head down to duck under something.             “I’m not too sure, what kind of symptoms are you having?” He asked as he snaked around a corner at lightning speed. I swallowed hard. “I’m dizzy, I can’t see, my head is all light, and I can’t feel my hands anymore.”             At that I could feel him take in a deep breath. “Well that’s not good.”             That was that last thing I heard him say.
