Chapter 1
Amelia's POV Well, you would think my adventure is over, but unfortunately, it is not. I am back! This adventure will have your mind blown to the fullest and I do not think you are ready for this one. However, after my last adventure, I highly doubt you guys were ready for the twist and turns in that one. So, as always, sit back, relax, have your popcorn or your snacks and stay tuned. This one is the beginning of the ending adventure. The sun was shining in my face and, for the dear life of me, I hated it. I hated when my curtains were moved because my morning person of a friend wanted to come visit me because her teenage daughter wanted to go out with her friends. No, it is not my friend from the last adventure. I made new friends, of course. I was far away from where my crown rested. No one knows my face, or identity unless they put two and two together, nothing. I didn't want any royal treatment of any kind or have my identity being spread to other kingdoms and have Antonio know where I was. I wanted to be free from it all at this point. Of course, I was going back to it because I had some unfinished business to attend to, but in the end I didn't want to face that just yet. I shielded myself from the sunlight and heard my roommate giggling at me. "Seriously, you want to stay in bed all day and not go outside for nothing," she asked as she placed her hands on her hips. "I don't like being up this early. It's only what-" I looked at the clock and my face fell. "It's 8:00 in the morning. Why are you up so early this morning?" "Try having a child and then let me know." "Trace.... I don't want to do that." "You have got to meet someone girl. You are mainly a loner." "Eh.... It is interesting being alone. You get to travel with no worries about anything." "True... How long are you staying here in Magnisa?" "Another week, then I will be off again to a new town or kingdom." "You really don't stay in one spot for too long, do you? Are you running from someone or something?" "Not really no. Just finding the right place for me to stay in and be comfortable." "Are you not comfortable here?" "I am actually. People here are nice and friendly. There is something I want to do before I head out of here." "Go to a club?!" "I was going to say something different but-" "Girl, you have been here for quite some time and all you do is go around helping people, which is not a bad thing, do not get me wrong," She said, throwing her hands up as if she were going to catch something. "I am just saying, for someone who is traveling, I haven't seen you go and have some fun with other people. I think you should like... get out and go get some drinks and have a good time before you leave." "I leave in another week though." "All the more way that you should go out and have some fun! Think about it.... Please...." She puckered out her bottom lip and whimpered while giving me the puppy dog eyes, holding her hands together, pleading as if she were a child. I looked over to the window, avoiding her gaze because, knowing myself, I would give in to her demands. Even though she was correct, that's actually all I have been doing. I have traveled around a lot of places since I left the kingdom and I have gone to spots where I have seen people in desperate need of help. So, I thought about it and decided to help a lot of people and just gave back to the kingdoms that needed some help. I connected with some people but didn't want to get extremely close to the point where I would have someone know who I am and possibly spread it around. I honestly did not want my identity out to the public. However, though, Tracey was right. I haven't actually experienced anything with the freedom I basically walked myself into. Maybe it was time that I went out and live a little bit. There was actually one problem though. What the hell would I wear to a club? I mean, I did not expect that to be on the go out and do things. Trace left my room and I sat up on the bed. I sighed, rubbed my eyes and removed the blanket from my legs and swung my legs to hit the floor. Lifting myself off the bed, I got up and headed towards the window. I shouldn't be in it because I'm only wearing a t-shirt and some boyshorts but who is really looking at me through the window while I just gaze outside. I tilted my head while I looked outside. It was a common neighborhood, the city was good and quiet. It was busy today. It should be since it's Thursday. A day before, people want to clock out of work quickly to gain more freedom over the weekend, or when people decide to skip work and just say I am going to enjoy my weekend now. I shrugged my shoulders and walked away to get ready for the day. I tied my red hair into a pony tail and put on my black shirt and blue jeans with some black and white camouflage sneakers. I threw on my jean jacket that stopped around my stomach area and headed out. Trace should have already left to run some errands for the day. Me, I was going to go shopping and see if I could actually find something to wear for this... club thing she wants to do before I leave. First, I need to go to the center I go and volunteer at to basically go check in on the people who need some help. It was called, "Helping Hands." Nice name for a straight forward thing. They help everyone though. People who served in the wars, homeless, families, run aways. You name it and they will help you. I think it was a good thing they were doing because most people would turn a blind eye to those in need, but then again you do have some people who would lend a helping hand. I walked into the facility and saw the greeting lady at the front desk with a wave and a smile and walked over to Mr. Green's office. He was on the phone when I walked in with a soft knock on his door. He looked up at me with those dashing green eyes and lifted his hand to tell me to hold on. I walked over to his desk and sat on one of the chairs that was before it and waited for him to get off the phone. "Amelia! How are you? How is my favorite helper?" "I am doing great! Thank you Mr. Green." "What brings you here today? Wanting to volunteer again?" "That is actually why I am here. So in a week I will be leaving and I need to pack up and stuff before I head out, but I wanted to do something in return for the kindness that you have shown me while I was here." "More kindness than what you have done so far? You have been great here. This place has never been so moving and full of life since you have arrived here and helped. I must thank you for everything you have done." "It's good to give back though, but here is more contribution that I want to give to you guys and this place." I reached into my back pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. I unfolded the paper to make sure it was the right thing I was looking for and handed it over to Mr. Green. He took the paper confused about it and gasped. I could tell he wanted to cry when he saw it but he bit his lip to distract him from his tears falling down his face. "Here is a check for 1.3 million dollars. I want you to build another place. A bigger one than what you have here. After that... I want pictures, of course, of the success you have going on. You are making a big difference here and I think what you are doing is something I have never seen before and I think the dream you have, of wanting to build a brighter world and give people work, is something special. So please, act on your dream. And, of course, take a vacation that you wanted to do with your family. I think that trip would do you justice as well." "Wait... wait... wait a minute. I-I can't take... take this. I cannot take this!" He tried to give it back to me but I gently pushed it back into his hands and closed his hands around the check." "Take it.... like it... and do more good with it." He burst into tears and got up from his chair and came around to give me a gigantic hug. I hugged him and listened to his sniffles and his happy laughs. "I cannot... I truly cannot thank you enough for this. I promise... I promise I will do it all and be the best that I can be. Thank you. I cannot thank you enough for this one." "Yeah you can." "How?" "By keeping your word and doing great in this world."
