Chapter 14

Amelia's Pov I have been marked. This disgusting hand print of his, in all gold, that glow, was placed on my back and it stayed there. I tried to scrub it away when the maids came to give me a bath, but the only thing that was happening, was pain being caused to my back and a bit of my shoulders. I wanted to burn it away but then that would cause greater pain for me. There must have been a way to get this removed. I was sitting in the corner, picking at the old bricks. Trying to remove them from the wall or at least chip away the hardened cement. It was going to be a while because I only had so much to work with. A small plastic spoon that wasn't durable for this kind of work. I was up, now, pacing back and forth, wondering how the hell I would get out of here. How can I escape this prison? I don't know what awaits me outside and I don't have a clue if this man is watching me the way he said he was watching me. Then, now that I think about it, if I escape, this man said he could track me down and get to me and the ones that I love. Cannot bring them any hard so running would be an option. I mean I was on the run anyway, but this would be a life or death type of running. Unless I kill the bastard for marking me and taking me in the first place. I sighed and noticed the maids had come with lunch in their hands. At least the food was good, even though I wouldn't say anything about that. They opened the gate with their keys and took the food in. Placed it on the only table that was provided by the arrogant ass and they left without a word like always. Except, today was different. I don't think they noticed, but then again, I don't know how you can't see the little girl who was holding a pink stuffed teddy rabbit sitting on the cold floor with a thumb in her mouth. She was staring at me with amazement. I just kept blinking as I got closer to the cage to examine her looks more. Golden blonde hair, the same dark colored brown eyes as the arrogant ass. Now that I get to study her face some more, she did have some of his features. Bone structure wise, this one is something of his family, but the question remains. Who is she? Antonio's POV We were gathered around and Fred was giving us the insight of the information that was needed to find Amelia. We ate a bunch of burgers, fries, pickles, and had milkshakes. If this wasn't an urgent for finding Amelia, a movie would go right along with this and boy would we be full until our stomachs would explode. "Alright guys, so according to the coordinates that I found from the tracker that Antonio had on Amelia, she was moved to about two locations until the tracker was turned off. " "How can someone turn it off though?" "By creating a blocking jamming device. See, no one can hack into the bracelets tracking device because it would have created an alarm signal back to me and all I would have had to do was track it back to the source and boom, I would have found a location faster than what I have here with me now." "Alright Fred, so what have you found about our dear good friend?" Alex asked. "Gotchu. After Amelia called, her bracelet tracked her heading to the west. Then she was brought to a location far out from the city and remained there. I'm not sure what is out there, but give me a second to do some surveillance. Now the thing about this bracelet is, it doesn't tell us how long she was there for. Just her movements, so after she was put in that location, she was dragged to another and then the bracelet came down to a halt and then it was turned off, so I am guessing, someone took the bracelet and noticed the tracking device in it." "Well, that person is smart for that one, but let's get some more insight into the location she was first dropped off at." "According to Samuels," Maurice started, "Samuels stated that she was taken to the place along with the rest of the girls and then I guess they had their processing moment there. After he drops them off at a location, he goes about his business and doesn't know what else is happening to the girls because that is above his pay grade." "So, we might need to send a team out there and get this investigation going. We could find out where Amelia's next location could be from the two locations that she was at. I'll head to the first one." Alex said, standing from his seat. "I will head to the detective to see what she got on the case." Maurice said while cracking his neck. "I guess I will head to the second location Amelia was at and grab a team to go over there." "That would be great guys. Maurice, that detective, is over at the police station. Alex and Antonio, I will have a team produce for you and have you guys have the location, ready to go in a bit." "Thanks Fred." We all said as we got ready to be on our way. Alex’s POV “We are in position. Thermal senses are a go?” “Yes, captain. On your mark.” “Good.” We arrived at the sight, 1900 hundred hours and it was time to move. There were people here. Heat signatures were a definite way of seeing in the dark. The land scape was interesting. We were in the middle of the forest. Fred gave us directions, and gave us insight into what we were dealing with. I have guys on every corner. And in a garage that was found just in case if someone wanted to escape. We were near a warehouse, metal to be exact. Guards were patrolling the area with assault riffles, some with attack dogs, some with swords in their hands. This was very interesting and, on the inside, I was very happy to be the one here instead of Maurice. Maurice's POV Why did I volunteer to go to this detective? The only thing this woman is going to do is give me a whole headache and that is something I can't deal with. I was standing outside of the precinct, looking up at the building with an annoyed expression on my face. I took a deep breath and walked inside and walked past the people who were trying to get my attention. I don't have time to deal with the whole "your majesty" thing right now. I was looking around until I saw the detective in an office with a male figure in front of her. He had a non-light cigar in his face and she was standing in front of his desk with a folder in her hand. Her angry expression was clearly indicating that she was annoyed with him and the smug expression on his face. I looked around while slowly tilting my head and walked over to the room. I pulled out my phone and slid it under the door while it was recording their conversation. I went over to the window and watched their movements until the detective looked over at me with a confused, yet angered expression. I tilted my head and scrunched up my face a bit and watched as the male in front of her stood up from his seat. I watched him walk around and walked over to the detective and I motioned for the door. Opening the door, I picked up my phone and sighed as he was too close to her face in an intimidating matter. "Ah.... this is such a surprise," I said while turning off the recording and sending it to Fred. "And... who might you be?" "This is uh-" I raised my hand and the detective closed her mouth. I shook my head slowly and tilted my head to the left. "A nobody. Or.. maybe a concerned citizen just wondering. Who might you be?" "The Sergeant of this established police department. I mean you are aware that you are here, right?" "Chief, he was just-" "I don't need you speaking for me. I know why I am here and what I am doing here. Again, I am just a concerned citizen trying to piece pieces of a puzzle together in order to get some answers." "And what puzzle are you trying to piece up, dear sir?" The chief asked as he turned towards me and placed his hands in his pockets. "What puzzle am I trying to piece up.... Well, I guess we will have to find out. Won't we, detective?" I looked around him to see the detective standing as she took a piece of paper off the desk and placed it in her folder. The chief turned to her and raised his right eyebrow as he looked down at her. I nodded my head once and she took a deep breath while fixing her posture. "Of course. There is that matter to deal with and I hope we can solve it quickly so that I can get back to important matters. I think the chief will understand that. I mean the matters of missing women are important... correct sir?" "Yes... they are. Well, go see to it that this... gentleman, pieces his puzzle correctly. Wouldn't want another case on your hands now, would you?" "I highly doubt we will get to that matter. However, one can try to do so and see the consequences behind it." I said with a smirk. The detective walked over to me and the chief and I remained with locked eyes. The chief chuckled and headed back to his desk. "I think... I will be seeing you soon. Don't you?" "I plan on it." I turned and walked out of the room along with the detective to her desk area. I went inside the room and immediately got onto my phone. "Yeah, did you get it Fred?" I asked while putting him on speaker. "Yeah, I got it. However, if you want me to hack into something, you need to give me a heads up faster, you know?" "Apologizes Fred, but I do think that was my only chance to do it." "Only chance to do what exactly?" I looked over to the detective and completely ignored her as I returned to my conversation. I took Fred off of speaker and continued to listen to what I needed to hear. "What about the others?" "Off the grid with no words yet. However, when they do, you'll be the first to know." "Thanks Fred." I hung up the phone and looked over to the detective searching through the folder. "I wonder if you three kings actually are... kings. You guys don't really act like kings until you have to. You're more like... spies. You're not spies... are you?" "And if we were, do you think we would let you know?" "I would like to think yes but, then again, you guys are in your own little worlds and don't really deal with us commoners, do you?" "Such... assumptions. You really don't understand much about us and your assumptions about us are annoying. It is truly aggravating that you think you know everything about royals just because yours is a pain in the ass and a stupid one at that." "You guys don't really care about these women. Let's just start there. You are only looking for this missing girl because she is the queen of the Larson Kingdom and a friend to you and the other one. If she wasn't missing, you guys wouldn't be here trying to help piece this puzzle together like you told the chief in there," she said, using her chin to point to the chief's direction. "Okay, and you have a point. However, this is not our jurisdiction, so we didn't even know about the missing women or the kidnappings that happened in this kingdom. You are right about that. However, thanks to Queen Amelia being missing, our attention is on it and now we can come and help without stepping on the king's toes and making it seem like he cannot run his kingdom in the eyes that see fit. It is not our fault that your king is once again... stupid. And however, you should know... even though it is not your business by a long shot, Amelia was here... helping your people. So if you really got something to say about us, how about do your research first instead of making assumptions, because if you look at our kingdoms, clearly we are doing a better job at keeping our people safe and sound versus the stupid one who is running the show here." She just stared at me. Knowing damn well she made a mistake, but oh well. She needs to learn how to not make assumptions and actually get to know people around her. She would be able to do her job better than how she is doing it now. "Now... this is an order. Give me the information you have on this case. Women are disappearing left and right and we need information." Antonio's POV "Alright guys, everyone is taken alive unless other wise. However, try to get as many people who look important. Let's try to get them alive. The rest of these lackeys do whatever needs to be done so they can keep quiet for a while. We don't want anyone alerted that we were here. Even though at some point people will know that someone got to this place." "Alright, what's the plan then, boss?" "You three, tackle the north rooms, I counted 5, but be thorough. There could be hidden rooms. You guys take south, east, west and we will take the main room. There are heat signatures coming from a back room, so in precisely 15 minutes, we meet there so we can breach. Are we a go?" Everyone nodded their heads and readied their weapons. "Move, move, move." Everyone scattered to where they were ordered to go, while my group immediately opened the doors. We were located in a mansion. A mansion hidden in the middle of nowhere. Whose idea this was, I have no clue, but I give them credit. It was hard to find at some point, but with satellite technology from Fred, we got here. My team breached the front and everyone was on guard. Looking left, right, up and down. Walking up the hall stairs first, while one person went to the side doors on the side of the stairs. I walked to the center and continued to search. There were rooms up the steps that needed to be searched. I turned to see if my team were behind me and they nodded their heads. Me and one gentleman went to a room with the numbers 657 on it. Another two went to the room with 765 on it. The last group went to the last room with 576 on the door. We all looked at each other and gave a head nod. We breached each door simultaneously. My room was empty, so we peacefully walked and looked into the other rooms. Women, of different ages, had to be from 16 to their 20's. They were cowering in the corner, in this tiny space they were put in. I examined their outfits and they were wearing belly dancing outfits in different colors. The most common thing with these outfits, is that a lot of features such as chest, stomachs, thighs and arms were shown. Brusies were present on some of the ladies as well. I sighed and left the room while the others dealt with the ladies. We needed to get to the backroom. I looked over to the others who were free and looked at my watch. Timing was still good. We continued to search the rest of the house. The path to the door we were looking for was a large, red and gold door with black handles to pull. I signaled my men to surround the door and two went to each door to pull it open quickly. I went and reached for the device in my pocket and saw there was a heat signature coming. Three, to be exact. One was sitting on a chair, another who looked like a female was present at the feet of the one in the chair and another seemed to be holding something in their hand. I put the device away and readied my weapon once again. With a head nod, the guys opened the door and we rushed in. As the heat signature device predicted, there were people in this room. However, it was not the larger one I was looking for. Looking around the room, there was a stage behind him. I'm guessing this is where they auction off the girls. I lowered my weapon and one of the men found the light switch. He turned on the lights and this male was sitting there with a smirk on his face. "Ah.... finally. King Larson found us."
