I must say I've been having the time of my life I've made a lot of friends during this time one in particular Luca he's been with me through the entire events that have been unravelling up to this point though he finished Uni last summer he always makes time for me and has promised me a better job once I finish Uni this summer but I fear that will never happen as planned because as soon as Elijah finds the letter that I have sent him about the divorce I will be all alone and I will have no friends, no one to turn to, no one I can truly trust and more importantly no job to go to.

Once Elijah realises that I have not been bluffing for the past four years he will have my head in a vice and make sure everyone everywhere not to employ me because I broke out contract and that alone will have people talking and employees will not want to hire someone who can't comply with terms of a contract. But Luca being Luca reassures me that won't ever happen and whatever Elijah tried to use against me he won't win and he will hire me no matter regardless. I just don't seem to believe any of his words cause in the end Elijah will twist all his bullshit words and Luca will believe all of them and in the end he will turn against me too.

I know who he is and it no longer scares me like it used to; he is the kindest and sweetest man I have ever met. But, can I trust him to stand by his word and not back down from Elijah's lies ?

No I can't.

I just can't bring myself to believe a guy like Luca would believe me over a well outward business man like Elijah. I didn't know too much about Luca's life and I don't want to. I know he is Mafia but I'm not sure if he is the kingpin or the second hand, he always deceives himself so well, he's an entrepreneur when it comes to business. I've seen how well he holds his own and makes so many business decisions after his father had given him control over the restaurant where he made sure I had been given a job so I could pay for what I needed at university although having to ask Elijah for a penny I owed him enough. I'd been working there for four years now and I was enjoying it though it was hard work and long hours. I was enjoying the atmosphere around me. But I knew that would slowly and abruptly come to an end once Elijah would see the divorce papers.

I haven't seen Elijah since Christmas when he made me come home why I don't know cause he ignored my precance after Christmas Day and all I wanted to do was go back to my apartment near the campus cause all he was interested in was work and his whores I don't understand why he's keeping me around when he clearly had no love for me and no interest in whatsoever. I may as well be a nun than live with this asshole he only realises I am around when he's shitfaced drink and tires to fuxk me he hated when I sent him and we argue if he doesn't like it he should go to his hoes or better divorce me and continue with his sacred affairs without me being there l I can't file for bingo my cause I agreed to his stupid contract one that Luca knows abotu and is not happy about one I couldn't do anyhtng about I trust Luca as much as I trust Jasper but the events that were about to take place would change everything in my life. And who I could really trust.

"Are you okay angel?"

I looked up at Luca. "I will be."

He placed his ar, around me and kissed my forehead. "What's wrong Angel? You've been like this since Christmas. I know he did something to you."

Luca had met Elijah a few times when he had come to pick me up, just say the reception between them wasn't one I wish to see repeated. Elijah was a d**k towards him but Luca was equally as cold towards him. It was like watching two teenagers that wanted not more than to beat the crap out of each other.

"He ignored me the whole time I was there Luca, I didn't even understand the point to why I was there if all he was going to do was flaunt his whores around me. And what is also laughable he thought he could screw me too."

He scoffed in disgust.

"He also thinks I'm going to stick around in this fake marriage while he whores around with different women every night. I don't think so he's caused me too much pain over these five years."

"Don't you to worry about him angel I'm here. And I'm not going anywhere."

"That's all good Luca, but he's very believable. He'll twist my word against his and he'll make sure he gets what he wants."

"Not happening, angel. I know you and I know you never lie. I may have only seen him a handful of times but I know a liar when I see one and he's definitely one he's also a manipulative asshole that's how you got yourself in this s**t in the first place. I just wish that I'd met you before you met him and I'd have helped with no strings tied."

"I know you would Luca."

He kissed my forehead. "So what are you worrying about, angel?'

"I'm scared Luca."

"There's no need to be, angel. I'm here and I always will be."

I looked at the pages in front of me it time I signed them and sent them back to the lawyer so he could send them to Elijah. "Are these what's bothering you?"

"They're the divorce papers."

"Have you signed them?"

"I am , but I'm scared of what he'll do once he gets them. It could go two ways either he'll rip them up and deny the divorce or sign them and make my life hell."

He pulled me close hugging me. "Sign them angel. You need to do this for your own sanity. You need to get out of this toxic relationship you're in and start anew and find love with someone who truly cares and adores you and he definitely is not that person. He's torturing you Angel cause he had to help you to sort out your parents' debt and what better way to tie you to him for life making you watch him w***e himself around. I'll Always be here for you and don't worry about your job you'll always have a job as four as I'm concerned and I'll make sure he doesn't blacken your names cause I can do worse to him, a whole lot worse. So sign those papers."

I smiled. "You know what you're right."

With that I signed the divorce papers and sent them back to the lawyer so he could get Elijah's signature.

Divorce, anger, divorce, anger, divorce, betrayal that's what I'm feeling right now how could she do that to me? Elijah Rivera the greatest business entrepreneur?I warned her what exactly would happen if she chose this path she was going to get a rude awakening. I wasn't ready to give her up just yet . I mean who the hell did she think she was? No one that's who. I'd name sure that she couldn't get a job anywhere in this city. No one would hire her. I was a well known business man and billionaire and no one dared to go against me in this world,she'd be truly ducked when she realised that no one would give her a job.

I'd given her four years to reconsider what she had told me the day she had left. I knew that she was nothing without me. I was willing to change my playboy ways just to prove I was serious, but now there was no f*****g chance of that she'd betrayed me in every way it was payback and payback was a bitch.you'llcome running back to me soon my Little flower when you realise you are nothing without me then I'll make your life a living hell and that's a promise.

I signed the papers and sent them back calling her.

"Hello."

"Alaina."

"Yes, whose this?"

"Tsk, you've forgotten who your husband is already?"

"Elijah."

"So you do remember my name?"

"How can I forget it."

"What the hell did you think you were hoping to achieve by sending me divorce papers Alaina?"

"Have you got them?"

"Answer me Alaina. Did you really think I would sign them.? I told youdivorce would never be on the cards."

"And I never expected life to be so f*****g hard with you."

"Watch your language Alaina."

"Hell no. You trust me like s**t and you expect me to just stand around and take it."

"You're my wife Alaina you take any s**t I throw at you.'

"Not anymore. Just let me go Elijah so you can go back to your playboy life without me being in it so you can fuxk all the whores you want."

"I already do."

I could feel her gritting her teeth through the line. "Without me there having to witness it no wife should have to witness their husband cheat on them over and over over again not giving a s**t about them."

"I don't give a s**t about you Alaina, this was a business marriage nothing else."

"Then let me go."

"Fine. I've already signed the papers, but be warned you went against our contract so be warned Alaina I don't play fair you'll find yourself jobless and homeless cause I'll make sure no one will ever hire your sorry ass after this . Once Uni is over get the hell out of my apartment."

"Gladly." She said, cutting the call.

Luca looked at Alaina and tears were flooding out of her eyes. "What's wrong angel?"

"He's received the divorce papers."

"Let me guess, he refused to sign them."

"He signed then."

He looked shocked at her. "Well that was unexpected. I expected him to take them up."

"He's angry, Luca, angry I spoiled his contract. He's going to make sure everything in my life now becomes my living hell."

He pulled her to him, wrapping his arms around her. "No he's not. I'm here with you and I'm not going anywhere, you have always got me and your job as long as you want both."

"Thanks Luca."

"You're my friend Alaina. I love you." He said, suddenly pressing his lips on hers kissing her surprising her she eventually returned his kiss and he kissed her deeply and passionately.
